Tahella Rose followed the Lord’s lead step by step as she volunteered in ministry. In the process, He led her to attend KCBC, and her college tuition was paid for!
“I came from church hurt, so when I came here to EMIC, I was kind of closed off to others,” shared Tahella. “That’s not really my personality.” However, it took one person to approach her and, “get all up in my grill,” as Tahella states it, welcoming her and letting her know that she was seen and valued.
As Tahella went through the process of becoming a member at EMIC and began serving on Sundays, she was often mistaken for a KCBC student. “I didn’t want to go to school,” said Tahella. “I thought I was just here for ministry, not knowing that God had more for me.”
Tahella was invited to become part of the young adult community at EMIC. It was then that the door “was busted wide open to be able to go to school,” as Tahella said. Every other door she tried to go through was shut.
So, Tahella stepped into the opportunity to attend KCBC and walked by faith. “It was a smooth transition,” said Tahella. “Before I started school, God told me, I’m gonna provide for you. I’m gonna pay for your school.”
Watch Tahella Rose tell her story:
The first year of classes built her foundation and helped her increase her faith. According to Tahella, it was very difficult for her to come out of her own understanding and lean on His. “The Lord was like, just trust Me,” recalled Tahella.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Tahella saw the beautiful fruit of trusting Him when, during her second year of classes, she received a scholarship and also became part of the work study program at the school which paid for all her tuition! “He keeps His promises,” said Tahella. “He’s faithful, and He’s never let me down.”
Her life is a testimony to Numbers 23:19: “Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
Cultivating the Gift
Tahella has a gifting from God to be able to praise and sing, but she didn’t know anything about stewarding that gift when she first arrived. So, coming here prepared her, giving her more of a direction of what to do and simply being able to home in on the voice of God. She learned to listen and yield to what He was telling her to do with her gift. “What He tells me to do with it is better than what I can think,” said Tahella.
Resources to help you know the will of God for your life:
Whether you’re thinking of attending KCBC, or simply seeking the Lord on your next step, Tahella has this encouragement for you: “If God is telling you to go, if He’s instilled in your heart that there’s more He wants you to know, and that there’s secrets that He wants to share with you…act in faith and do it. Act in faith and go.”
Tahella speaks from the conviction and confidence of first-hand experience. “He’s already provided for you. It’s already done. You just have to walk it out by faith.”
Feed Thy Kids Daycare is a free facility, fully supported by the financial generosity of KCM Africa Partners through twice-sown seed.
Feed Thy Kids (FTK) is a non-profit daycare serving over 60 children, ages 1-5, in a region of South Africa where poverty and unemployment are widespread. In a faith-filled, loving environment where Jesus is Lord, FTK provides free daycare and two nutritious meals daily. It offers a safe space for children to play, learn and grow while their parents work hard to provide for their families, despite the challenges surrounding them. Kenneth Copeland Ministries Africa has provided financial support to FTK since its inception in 2016.
The name for this facility was taken from Song of Solomon 1:8 (KJV), in which it instructs to, “feed thy kids beside the shepherd’s tents.”
Through this outreach, not only are the children’s practical needs met, but seeds of joy and creativity are sown into their young lives as the love of God is demonstrated in action. It is a blessing to see the light of God’s love shine in their hearts, bringing hope and joy into what could otherwise be challenging circumstances. FTK is raising up a generation to know that with Jesus, they can live a life of victory!
FTK has become a beacon of hope by offering a no-cost haven to parents of vulnerable children, who face the very real threats of kidnapping and human trafficking. Under the loving and watchful care of the dedicated team at FTK, these children are not only protected but nurtured in an environment saturated with the love of Jesus.
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.'” Matthew 19:14
Matthew 25:40 says, “‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”Through ministries like FTK, the heart of Jesus is being demonstrated, showing these families that they are never forgotten but always loved and cared for by God. The Partners of KCM Africa make this possible!
This daycare is just one of many ways that the impact of the seed sown by our Partners into KCM is multiplied through twice-sown seed, because 10% of every dollar given to KCM is immediately sown into other ministries.
Partner, thank you! This is one example of how your giving is multiplied, from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around the middle.
Learn how to take care of your family with 7 Ways a Father Provides for His Family.
Fathers are called many things like Dad, Daddy or Pops. Another word that expresses the role of a father is provider. If you had a father who was a good provider to you, you are truly blessed!
One of God’s Names is Jehovah Jireh, which means “God our Provider.” God, in His mercy, provides you with salvation and eternal life; meets your physical needs such as food, housing, healing and protection; and even gives you wisdom for each day. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (ESV).
With God as his perfect example, an earthly father can take on the role of provider in many ways: in the spiritual growth and development of his family, for the material needs of his family, and with emotional support and encouragement. It’s a big job! But the man who puts 7 Ways a Father Provides for His Family into practice in his life can do it!
1. A father loves God and others.
“The man answered, ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” –Luke 10:27
The No. 1 way a father provides for his family is to love God. What activities show that a father loves God? He prays, reads God’s Word, and attends and participates in church. He also tithes and gives offerings. He spends time each day visiting with his Father God. He carves time out of his day to listen for the voice of the Lord.
A father also provides for his family by loving others. He is patient and kind, not jealous, boastful or proud (1 Corinthians 13:4). He is available to teach and train others, including his children. The love of God through the father provides a sense of belonging and offers strength to overcome obstacles in life. A father provides for his family by making them feel secure and teaching them to love others.
“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” –Ephesians 4:32
Another way a father provides for his family is that he forgives as God has forgiven him. In Matthew 18:21-22, Peter asked Jesus, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” Jesus replied, “No, not seven times, but seventy times seven!”
The best kind of father is one who forgives and keeps on forgiving. After all, God forgives us (Psalm 103:3). Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone needs to be forgiven. When a child makes a mistake, it’s important for the father to tell the child, in love, what they did wrong. Then, to end the matter, the father needs to say those three important words, “I forgive you.” This simple act of forgiveness provides stability in the home.
When a father refuses to forgive a family member or a business associate, not only does he get more and more miserable, but he also puts himself in jeopardy and paints a dangerous picture for his family to imitate. Holding a grudge and living in unforgiveness is like scratching a sore that never heals. A father can provide for his family by demonstrating forgiveness to them and others.
3. A father walks in the fruit of the spirit.
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” –Galatians 5:22-23
A third way a father provides for his family is that he walks in the fruit of the spirit. When a man is born again, the Holy Spirit comes to live within his spirit, and what a difference that can make! The Holy Spirit will work through a father so that his natural inclination changes from the old ways to the ways of God.
Instead of anger, he can demonstrate love. Instead of sadness, he can be quick to show joy and laughter. Instead of strife, there is peace. Rather than lose his temper, the father can patiently wait and act with kindness, gentleness and self-control. All these character traits are available to the father who chooses to walk in the fruit of the spirit.
If you have a parent or spouse who struggles to walk in the fruit of the spirit, you can pray for them to develop in spiritual maturity: A Prayer To Draw Near to God
It doesn’t happen overnight, but as a father yields to the Lord, the fruit begins to ripen to the image of Christ, and this fruit provides a godly home for his family.
4. A father puts the Word of God first place in his life.
“I have tried hard to find you—don’t let me wander from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. I praise you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. I have recited aloud all the regulations you have given us.” –Psalm 119:10-13
A father also provides for his family by putting the Word of God first place in his life. What does that mean? It means he makes God’s Word the final authority in every decision.
For example, a teenage daughter wants to go to her friend’s party. The father is responsible to find out certain things about the party. Are her friend’s family Christians? Will the parents be at the party? Will boys and girls be properly chaperoned? Will alcohol or other dangerous substances be served, or maybe brought in? Does his daughter have an escape plan? These are things the father needs to know before he can make his decision.
Decisions based on God’s Word will bring successful results. A father must consider God’s Word in deciding where to go to church, where to work, where to live, how to spend money, and how to be a witness for Jesus Christ. Those decisions come easier as he and his wife are in agreement with the Word of God (Matthew 18:19-20). With God and His Word in first place and as final authority, the father can provide a good life for his family.
5. A father prays about everything.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 4:6-7
Another way a father provides for his family is by praying about everything. That’s when spending time daily with the Lord becomes essential. Knowing what to do, and how and when to do it, can be a challenge. A father who prays about everything can have confidence in his decisions. God is his Source and will provide all he and his family need, including God’s wisdom and peace.
A father’s prayer also provides confidence for each member of the family. They know their father’s prayers are effective because he prays according to God’s Word. “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16).
Even more powerful is when a family prays together and comes into agreement with the Word! Jesus said, “If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:19-20). A father provides for his family by praying about everything.
6. A father is generous with his time and resources.
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” –Matthew 6:19-21
A father who is generous with his time and resources provides for his family. It takes effort for a father to be generous with his time and resources. After all, his job, which oftentimes provides for his family, takes most of his time and attention. And it takes a concentrated effort to focus on the family’s activities, interests and responsibilities. Being a father is not for the fainthearted!
One of the most encouraging phrases in the Bible is “but God” (Ephesians 2:4). Whatever is going on, whatever seems stressful or impossible can be overcome with that little phrase, “but God.” You see, the word but is a word that cancels out everything said before. For example: “There’s not enough money for that…but God.” With that little word, but, lack is no longer a factor. “I can’t do that…but God.” Suddenly the impossible becomes possible with God. “There’s no way I will get that better-paying job…but God.” Hope and faith soar at the possibility that God will intervene and allow the father to provide what is needed.
7. A father avoids the things God hates.
“There are six things the Lord hates—no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.” –Proverbs 6:16-19
Finally, a father provides for his family by avoiding the things God hates. It can be hard to associate a loving God with the concept of hate. But God does hate evil. “You love justice and hate evil” (Hebrews 1:9). Evil is the opposite of good—and God, and everything about God, is good.
As a father, it’s best to avoid the things God hates. Haughty eyes? That’s pride. Lying tongue? That’s obviously lies. Hands that kill the innocent? That’s murder. A heart that plots evil? That’s corruption. Feet that race to do wrong? That’s a person who has no restraint. A false witness who pours out lies? That’s a deceiver. And a person who sows discord in a family? That’s strife. Not only does a father hate the things God hates, but he also loves the things God loves—and that includes his family.
Watch Kenneth Copeland share a message to fathers on Father’s Day:
When you put into practice 7 Ways a Father Provides for His Family, you are relying on your Father God to help you and equip you to be a blessing to your family. Drawing from your Ultimate Provider, God, you can provide for your family both spiritually and naturally; and be a light and witness to others of the goodness of God!
Many of these obstacles to God’s best in our lives fall under the category described in Mark 7:13: The tradition of men makes the Word of God of no effect. Traditions are demonic error-really lies-to keep the Church in the dark. For years traditional ideas and interpretations of Scripture have kept people from receiving healing.
So I’d like to expose some of those lies of the enemy and explain why they are wrong. As we go through them, make a note of any that have become part of your thinking. Then replace those lies with what the Word really says.
Lie #1: “Miracles have passed away.”
I grew up in a church in which we frequently heard statements like these: “Miracles have passed away” and “Healing has passed away.” But the truth is that in order for miracles and healing to pass away, God would have to change or pass away. And that can’t happen. He has already declared, “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6).
He has also said, “I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26). Sickness and disease were never God’s will for man. Sickness only came when man disobeyed God, sinned and died spiritually. At that point man became subject to the evil one. But even then, God made a way to provide healing for His people. If He ever healed anyone, He is still that same healer today. God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). But we have to do our part and give Him something to work with by exercising our faith.
Lie #2: “God gets glory from sickness.”
Sickness doesn’t bring glory to God. Healing does.
As Jesus healed the multitudes, Matthew 15:31 says, “When they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see…they glorified the God of Israel.”
Lie #3 – “All things work together for good…”
A scripture that is often taken out of context and misunderstood is Romans 8:28: “All things work together for good to them that love God.” If you believe this means sickness is somehow for your good, you won’t resist it. But the Bible is very plain in what it says about sickness. The curse spelled out in Deuteronomy 28 includes “every sickness, and every plague” (verse 61).
Curses do not come from God. He is good to everyone (Psalm 145:9). Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
When you read Romans 8:28 in context, its meaning becomes clear:
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:26-28).
This is not saying everything that comes along is working for your good. This is about those who love God. Those who love God obey His Word: “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous” (1 John 5:3). When we obey God we enjoy the blessing of God.
The will of God is always good, but not everyone is in the will of God. This scripture is talking about the things of the Spirit working for our good. The Spirit makes intercession on our behalf when we pray in the spirit. When we obey God all things work together for good.
Everything that comes your way does not come from God and does not bring good into your life. You have the authority in you to obey or disobey. For instance, cancer does not work for your good. Car wrecks do not work for your good. They come to steal, kill and destroy. If you think these things come from God you will receive them instead of resist them.
Lie #4: “God puts sickness on you to teach you something.”
Sickness is not good. So when people say, “God puts sickness on you to teach you something,” that is totally unscriptural. The Bible says God uses His Word to teach us. He has sent the Holy Spirit to teach us. In Deuteronomy 28 God says if you don’t obey Me, all these curses will come on you. That’s not the will of God. God’s will is your redemption from the curse in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:13). Through ignorance, unbelief or rebellion and disobedience, we open the door to evil in our lives.
According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
God sent the Holy Spirit to be the teacher of the Church (John 14:26). He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13). God also placed teachers in the Church to instruct us (Ephesians 4:11-12). Therefore, He doesn’t use sickness to do that.
Many believers labor under the misconception that whatever happens to them is God’s doing. As a result, they take no responsibility for anything and put up no resistance to the enemy when he brings sickness and disease.
If you don’t resist sickness, it won’t go away. The enemy will continue to rule and reign in your life. You must resist the devil if you don’t want him to live with you. James 4:7 says resist him, and he will flee.
Jesus delivered people from sickness everywhere He went, and He rebuked it! He was never a friend of sickness and disease. He always did the will of God and you never saw Jesus instructing anyone to stay sick.

Lie #5 – “Lord, if it be Thy will…”
A traditional prayer that will help you die young is “Lord, if it be Thy will, heal my body.” Consequently, praying this shows you have not been reading your Bible, and you don’t have a clue about God or His will. It’s always His will to heal.
Perhaps you’ve been going to the wrong church. You should come out of a church service with your faith more built up than when you went in. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). But if you don’t hear and believe what the Word says, your faith won’t be strong.
Lie #6: Unbelief is “OK.”
Even Jesus couldn’t heal those who were in unbelief. In His hometown of Nazareth, “he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief” (Matthew 13:58).
Unbelief is the major blessing blocker, and that’s why it’s imperative for you to know what the Word says and believe it enough to act on it. All the traditions I’m talking about are the result of unbelief.
Unbelief comes by hearing just like faith comes by hearing. So, it’s dangerous to your health to listen to unbelief.
There is no good reason to sit under teaching that’s full of unbelief if you desire to live and live well. Go where the uncompromised Word of God is being taught because your life depends on it.
Galatians 3:11 says, “The just shall live by faith.” That means believers are to live by believing what the Bible says. You are healed by believing and acting on what the Word says about your healing. It takes believing and acting to fulfill the word receive!
These are just some of the lies the devil uses to stop us from receiving all God has for us. Don’t buy the lies…believe God’s Word! Below is prayer you can pray and ask God to give you wisdom concerning His will and plan for you!
Hella Malawar suffered from depression for many years, eventually leading to a suicide attempt. Then, she was introduced to Jesus, and her life was changed forever.
It started when she was 15 years old. The depression…the fear…the debilitating darkness.
She tried everything she could think of, hoping for relief. Therapy, hypnosis, light therapy— nothing helped. After about three or four years of trying, Hella Malawar no longer wanted to live, so she decided to end her life. Following a failed suicide attempt, her sister-in-law purposed in her heart that she would tell Hella about a Man named Jesus.
At first, Hella was opposed to this. “I didn’t like what I saw in the church; I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way. But I was looking for God and I didn’t find him,” shared Hella. “So, my sister-in-law came to me and told me about Jesus.”
Watch Hella and Obele tell their story here:
Hella listened to her sister-in-law talk for two hours, then she heard, “Hella, my God can heal you.”
This was different than anything Hella had heard before. She allowed her sister-in-law to pray for her, then Hella knew immediately that Jesus is alive, and that what her sister-in-law was sharing was real. “It was so life changing,” recalled Hella. “One moment I was an unbeliever, the next moment I really knew it.”
In that moment, Hella began a new life, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us: “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Because she made the choice to be born again by accepting Jesus as her Savior, Hella finally felt hope. Her sister-in-law took her to church the following Sunday, and Hella has never left, “Because I thought, okay, this Jesus, I want to know him,” shared Hella.
Feed Your Spirit the Word of God
Hella stopped every type of therapy, instead going to Bible study every week; Healing School was the biggest help for her during this time. The Word of God has been her anchor in her journey to wholeness.
Hella and her husband, Obele, began reading and listening to every teaching resource from KCM that they could get their hands on: books, cassette tapes and CDs; resources regarding fear, healing and prosperity. “Everything was new to us,” said Obele. “So, we went into everything in a new way.”
The Malawars were living out the principle of Romans 12:2, which tells us to allow God to transform us into a new person by changing the way we think. As we seek Him by spending time fellowshipping with Him in His Word, we learn His will for our lives.
Resources to help you transform into who Jesus died for you to be:
Said Hella, “If you don’t feed yourself with the Word of God, it goes away from you. Like you eat in the natural, you must feed your Spirit because if you want to stay strong in the Spirit, you need the Word.”
Hella wants to see people experience the victory that Jesus gave to us when He died on the cross in our place. This is seen in Isaiah 53:5, which says that He was beaten so that we could be whole, and He was whipped so we could be healed.
Covenant Partners Stand Together
Through the teaching of KCM, the Malawars learned to be in covenant with one another. “That’s one of the reasons we decided we wanted to be a Partner with KCM, so we could stand together in faith and also share in the anointing that’s on the ministry,” said Obele. “We are very conscious that we have a partnership.”
Growing up in a household ravaged with addiction, David Luna found a book from Kenneth Copeland Ministries that changed his life; now, he’s helping other teens.
David Luna, a Partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, grew up in a household with a father that was addicted to drugs and an alcoholic mother. “I grew up in the streets. Poor. In special education classes, I didn’t know how to read or write,” shares Luna.
At the age of 25 he married his wife, eventually becoming born again, receiving Jesus as his Lord and Savior. “I still remember like it was yesterday,” says Luna. The church he attended at that time had a storage room; one day, he noticed a box that was sealed. “I opened it up and there was a book called From Faith to Faith by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. I remember grabbing that and reading it.” The daily devotional helped him develop in his faith. “I remember just reading that book and it changed my life. I still read it today because it has changed my life so much,” recalls Luna.
Luna began to see himself as someone who was unique. Because of the transformation Luna experienced in his life, he wrote a 10-month curriculum.
This curriculum, based on the biblical teachings he learned through studying the From Faith to Faith daily devotional, is now going into public schools, helping struggling students just like he once was. “We’re changing the lives of students,” says Luna. “I’m talking about hundreds of students lives are being changed.”
A Different Perspective
One of the schools where he has been able to teach this curriculum is a school for troubled teens. “When they get into trouble, this is the school that they send them to.” When Luna first arrived at this alternative school, the students were required to dress in green sweatsuits. “When they walked down the halls, they had to keep their hands behind their backs. And the Lord told me, ‘They don’t [realize], but they’re preparing them for jail.’” Luna talked to the principal, asking if there was a way this practice could change.
The principal agreed: now every student wears a collared polo shirt. The program used to be called SURGE, which stood for Student Under Restricted Guideline Environment. Now, it is called IMPACT.
Says Luna, “Right now, schools are trying to figure out what to do, and the only thing that can change [the environment] is God’s spirit, and faith. I’m literally able to take faith— what I’ve learned from Brother Copeland— into the schools to change it.” The principles Luna is teaching are life skills, but they’re also biblical, and it is changing the lives of these students. “I [teach] them to speak good things over themselves. I get them to speak good things over their families, and about their future and their purpose,” shares Luna. These are principles Luna learned from Brother Copeland.
As Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
The students are being taught a different perspective about life: Their lives matter.
Resources to help YOU have a vision for your life:
When he started teaching his curriculum, the percentage of teens being repeat offenders, therefore being sent back to this alternative school, was around 87%. Within a year of the faith principles being taught, the kids were no longer getting into trouble because of hearing this message based on the From Faith to Faith daily devotions.
Says Luna, “I really believe that I don’t know where I would be today, had it not been for Brother Copeland. He’s my hero because he impacted me. I have literally been able to impact thousands of teenagers because of faith principles I’ve learned from him.
His legacy is being carried on by other students; even today, there are teenagers that know about Brother Copeland because he made a difference in my wife and I,” stated Luna.
Watch David Luna share his story:
Partner, when you support KCM with your giving, you’re helping get life-changing resources into the hands of those who need it. Learn five reasons to be a tither and discover Is Tithing Right for You?
Have you ever thought, What’s the big deal about tithing? Or, What is tithing, anyway?Do I have to tithe? As with all the promises of God, you don’t have to do anything. Obeying a promise of God is completely your choice. But you might be interested to know that tithing is the only subject on which God offers you the right to put His promise to the test.
The Lord says, “‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,’ says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!’” (Malachi 3:10). God says you can put Him to the test. In other words, God says, “Try Me now in this” (verse10, NKJV).
With the following five reasons to help you understand what tithing is and what it will do, you can put God to the test and discover Is Tithing Right for You?
Reason #1: Tithing opens the windows of heaven.
‘“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,’ says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!’” –Malachi 3:10
God said if you bring all your tithes into the storehouse, He will open the windows of heaven for you, and pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! That’s exciting!
First of all, what is a tither? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a tither is “one who pays tithes.” Christianity.com defines tithing as the following: “In biblical terms, tithing refers to the practice of giving 10% of one’s income or resources to support the church or religious community.” You are a tither if you give the first 10% of your income to the place where you receive spiritual food—your church or religious community.
God promises that when you do, the windows of heaven will open. This implies that without tithing, the windows of heaven are closed.
There’s plenty of evidence in the Bible of God’s blessing on those who tithe. Remember when Jacob was running for his life from his older brother? That night, he had a dream of a staircase stretching into heaven and angels going up and down. The Lord spoke to him and promised, “I am with you, and protect you wherever you go.” Jacob answered, “This memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me” (Genesis 28:15-22).
Put God to the test. Go ahead—watch as tithing opens the windows of heaven in your life!
Reason #2: Tithing rebukes the devourer.
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the LORD of hosts.” –Malachi 3:11 (NKJV)
Who is the devourer? It’s the devil. He has several names, but devourer indicates his overwhelming desire to destroy everything that God created, then set up his own kingdom! He wants to attack you and destroy everything that belongs to you, including your family and your life. Jesus made it plain when He said, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10).
What happens when the devil comes to steal, kill or destroy a part of your life? Do you just sit down and watch him? No! Not if you are a tither and know what the Bible says. As Kenneth Copeland says, “You have tither’s rights.”
For example, you may hear about downsizing or cuts at your job. You can stand up in faith and declare that as a tither, the devourer is rebuked! You can take the Word of God and stop him from instigating his plans. You can say, “No you don’t, devil! I’m a tither, and you cannot steal from me! In Jesus’ Name, I stop your plan in the Name of Jesus!
When the devil attacks, you can stand up with tither’s rights and rebuke the devourer on your own behalf. First Peter 5:8 says, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him and be strong in your faith.”
You can stop the devil and his plan with confidence, knowing you are a tither!
“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.” –Proverbs 3:9-10
When you honor the Lord with your wealth and the best part of everything you produce, you are tithing. Do you honor someone by bringing them something old and discarded, or do you honor someone by bringing them your very best? Hopefully, you honor others by giving them something that shows your best.
The same is true with the Lord. You bring Him your best. To tithe is not just putting the top 10% of your money in a bucket at your church. It’s an attitude and a lifestyle. It’s an expression of your love and appreciation for Him. Tithing, like all of God’s promises, is a matter of the heart.
You are saying, “God, I am obeying You in this matter of the tithe. I am giving You the top 10% of my income as a way of honoring You. All that I am and all that I have belongs to You! Because of You, I am saved and will get to spend eternity in heaven with You. One way I honor You is by giving You the tithe. And as I do, I believe what You say in Your Word—You will fill my barns with grain and my vats will overflow! In other words, You will take care of me! Thank You, Lord!”
As a child of God, you are family! Tithing honors God and opens the door for Him to do more in your life!
Reason #4: Tithing opens the door to God’s blessing.
“If you will fully obey the LORD your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today…. The LORD will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.” –Deuteronomy 28:1, 8
When you fully obey the Lord in tithing, He guarantees a blessing on your life. He is not just talking about the blessing of finances. God wants to bless every area of your life, and you open the door to blessings with your tithe.
What areas of your life need God’s help? Your family? Your job? Your finances? Your health? You can step out in faith and tithe; and as you obey God in this way, He promises to bless you.
First Samuel 15:22 says, “But Samuel replied, ‘What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.’”
God doesn’t need your money. And when you tithe, you are not paying for any blessing. But you are doing something that pleases God. Obedience pleases God. Obeying God brings Him on the scene of your life. It takes faith to obey God, and stepping out to obey God in tithing opens the door to God’s blessing.
Watch Gloria Copeland and George Pearsons discuss The Blessing of Increase for Tithers.
Reason #5: Jesus addresses tithing.
“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.” –Matthew 23:23
Jesus talks about the tithe in the New Testament. What does this scripture mean? Does Jesus want you to tithe or not?
Jesus says, “You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.” Jesus is telling the religious leaders of His day not to forget to have justice, mercy and faith operating in their lives toward others, in addition to tithing.
Don’t let tithing be a religious duty, but a joy and delight in honoring God. In your walk with the Lord, don’t forget to love others by demonstrating mercy, love and kindness. Romans 13:10 says, “Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.”
Have you decided Is Tithing Right for You? Understanding what the Bible says about tithing gives you the confidence to step out in faith. Tithing is not an experiment you try for a week. Neither is it a hobby nor something to brag about. Tithing is a lifestyle, and God wants to give you evidence—He wants to prove to you—that He keeps His Word!
When you give with the joy of The LORD in your heart, you’re not just releasing a seed—you’re activating your faith. According to 2 Corinthians 9:7, God loves a cheerful giver. Why? Because joy is proof that you trust Him completely. Sow confidently, knowing your obedience and faith have already set your harvest in motion!

Kenneth Copeland Bible College graduated its sixth U.S. class—and its inaugural KCBC Canada class—on May 3, 2025!
Celebrate good times, come on!
May 3, 2025 marked a significant day in the lives of 61 graduates of Kenneth Copeland Bible College as they walked the stage and stepped into their future.
Excited, joyful and happy were a few words used to describe what the atmosphere felt like for many of them. This is the sixth class to graduate since the school’s inception in 2018, and the inaugural class from KCBC Canada! The 11 Canadian graduates participated via livestream as they viewed the festivities from their Langley, B.C. campus. Donning navy and gold cap and gown, of course.
Over the span of the two-year program, the students at both campuses became like family as they reached toward the common goal of discovering their calling while attaining an Associate of Biblical Studies degree.
Check out this recap video from the special day!
A Life-Changing Experience
Ask any graduate, and life-changing is likely an adjective you’ll hear used when they share what their KCBC experience has meant to them. Said KCBC alumna Madison Mowbray, “KCBC laid a strong foundation in my life, revealing things about myself I never knew, igniting a passion within me and magnifying the gifts God placed in me—ultimately clarifying His calling on my life.”
The students received training from world-class leaders in core courses such as:
Bible Study Methods
Budget and Finance
Church History
Foundations of Faith
The Jews, The Nations and The Church
Old and New Testament Survey
People Skills
Prayer
Just to name a new!
These graduates have been well-equipped for life and ministry. Said Olu Olabode, a graduate from KCBC Canada, “In one sentence, my KCBC experience can be described as a life-changing, transformational season that has prepared me for the rest of my life.”
Truly Historic: KCBC Canada’s First Graduating Class
This 2025 graduating class is a historic one, because it’s the inaugural class to be commissioned from KCBC Canada. Prior to joining the livestream of the commencement ceremony taking place in Fort Worth, Texas, KCBC Canada’s ceremony began on the grounds of KCM Canada. Family and friends celebrated locally, hearing from their class valedictorian and salutatorian.
“What a truly historic occasion this is,” said Campus Pastor Garret Dekker as he welcomed the graduates and guests at the Canadian campus. “Today, we gather not only to celebrate your academic achievements, but also to mark a significant milestone. The veryfirst graduation ceremony of KCBC Canada.”
These KCBC Canada graduates are pioneers, stepping forward as its ambassadors to the world.
Said Canada Salutatorian, Nadine Exner: “We have been equipped, transformed and launched into purpose.”

Special Guests in the House
Prior to graduation week, the Canadian students received a few special guests from the U.S. campus. KCBC President Pastor Terri Copeland Pearsons, Vice President Pastor George Pearsons, Chief Academic Officer and Dean Dr. Tony Erby, Associate Dean of Administration Duane Munoz and Curriculum Specialist Cheryl Armstrong visited to celebrate the achievements of this historic graduating class.
The inaugural graduates were honored with a luncheon, where they each had the opportunity to share with the leaders what their KCBC experience meant to them. Said Pastor Garret Dekker, “How amazing that they would take time out of their schedule to come be with us. They listened to every student share from their heart. The students were seen, they were heard, and they were honored.”
The Principal Thing
In his commencement address on May 3, Brother Kenneth Copeland charged the graduates to deal wisely in the affairs of life. After all, Proverbs 4:7 says that wisdom is the principal thing. Said Brother Copeland, “It’s not talking about human wisdom; it’s talking about the wisdom of God.”
As Joshua 1:8-9(Amplified Bible Classic Edition) instructs believers, “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Said Brother Copeland, “You now have the most basic foundation for success that exists: Faith, and how it works.”
He concluded by adding, “You are like a river flowing out of here, and the many tributaries will take you all over the world. As missionaries. Apostles. Prophets. Pastors. Teachers. For the perfecting of the saints. For the work of the job of the ministry.”
Equipped for the Calling
At Kenneth Copeland Ministries, we believe every Christian is called to ministry, whether in the pulpit or within their chosen profession. KCBC equips graduates for that calling—through rigorous academics, hands-on experience and deep spiritual growth. These students graduated with the knowledge and tools to walk in faith, live victoriously and share what they have learned with others.
Graduates from both campuses were activated for impact as they received their diplomas and stepped out in faith and into their callings, carrying the vision of KCBC with them; as well-trained individuals, skillfully operating in the fullness of God’s Word, equipped to teach others to do the same with faith, integrity and excellence.
To anyone considering attending KCBC, the graduates have something to say to you: Get here! Said 2025 Class President Ashley Veney, “Attending AND completing KCBC will be the best decision you have ever made.”
At KCBC, not only are lives transformed, but callings are revealed. Start your application for the fall 2025 semester today! Visit kcbiblecollege.org to learn more.
Choose these 4 Ways You Can Depend on God’s Covenant and receive confidence that what you ask of the Lord you will receive.
Do you remember using the “pinky promise” as a child? If you wanted something and your parents agreed to it, you wanted to ensure that what they promised would surely happen—that you’d get to stay up late, or go to a friend’s house, or receive the new toy you desired. In an effort to ensure that you would not be disappointed, you reached out your pinky finger and said, “Pinky promise?” If your mom or dad reached back with their pinky finger, you knew that you had what you desired!
As a believer, you have a more sure word of promise than a pinky promise. Jesus said, “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” (John 15:7). God established a covenant for you by sending His Son, Jesus, to the earth, and you entered into that covenant with God when you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines covenant as “a usually formal, solemn and binding agreement.” A covenant is the most powerful and binding form of agreement there is. God made a covenant with man through Jesus. By remaining in Jesus and letting His words remain in you, you can discover 4 Ways You Can Depend on God’s Covenant.
#1: Immerse yourself in God’s covenant Word.
“This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” –Hebrews 10:16
How does God put His laws in your heart and mind? Every time you read God’s Word, it is deposited into your heart and mind. Take time to read God’s Word slowly, out loud, thinking about what you are reading. One verse read prayerfully, listening for revelation from the Holy Spirit, is much more beneficial than reading several chapters. One word from God can change your life forever.
In your busy life, it takes planning to immerse yourself in God’s covenant Word. Here are some suggestions:
In the morning, get up a few minutes early and read something from Psalms.
Then as you get ready for the day, think about what you read and listen for the voice of the Lord to explain how what you read pertains to you.
In the evening, finish the day by reading a few verses in John or Romans until you have read the whole book.
Again, pray for understanding. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers, so He knows how to explain scriptures to you (2 Timothy 3:16). There are many Bible reading programs you can use; or simply read out of your own Bible so you can underline and make notes for yourself. By immersing yourself in God’s covenant Word, you are choosing to allow God’s words to remain in you, and this is one way you can depend on God’s covenant when you need it most.
#2: Meditate on God’s covenant Word.
“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” –Joshua 1:8
How do you meditate on God’s covenant Word day and night? The word meditate is defined as “to focus one’s thoughts on; reflect on or ponder over” (The Merriam-Webster Dictionary). You can meditate on or think about God’s Covenant word by being quiet and listening to what the Lord wants to say to you.
Find a peaceful place, turn off distractions, quiet your mind and listen. Listen for the inner voice of the Lord. He has many things to say to you, and He has promised to share His will and desires with you (Jeremiah 33:3).
God thinks about you, and He wants time with you. Psalm 139:17-18 says, “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”
God’s perspective is quite different from your limited view; your Father knows all and sees all, even the end from the beginning. He is willing to share His vast knowledge and wisdom with you when you meditate on God’s covenant Word.
#3: Pray in faith based on God’s covenant Word.
“Then Jesus said to the disciples, ‘Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, “May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,” and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.’” –Mark 11:22-24
One key to receive answers to your prayers is to pray in faith based on God’s covenant Word. Praying in faith is believing that God’s plan for you will happen. Abraham and Sarah believed the promise of God for a son, and he and Sarah received the ability to have a child (Hebrews 11:11). Like Jesus said, “If you believe (stay in faith) that you’ve received it, it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).
Faith begins where the will of God is known. And you find out the will of God when you read His Word and meditate on it. Everyone has questions, and to find the answers, go to God’s Word. He will reveal the direction you should go, what you should do, and how to do it. Then you can be sure you are praying God’s will and you will see results. That’s praying in faith based on God’s covenant Word!
“But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.” –1 John 2:5 [H5]
To participate in God’s covenant Word means to obey Him. You have to do something! First John 3:24 says, “Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them.” Put action to your faith. As soon as you read something in the Bible and understand it, it’s time to apply it to your life. Ask the Lord how it pertains to your situation.
For example, when Kenneth and Gloria Copeland got saved, they began to focus all their attention on God’s Word. They found the scripture, “Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another” (Romans 13:8). That seemed like an impossibility, especially since Kenneth had been in debt for years. But Gloria said, “If that’s what the Book says, that’s what we are going to do!” They believed God would help them to obey His command. They prayed for God’s help, and they determined to pay off each debt. After 11 months, Kenneth paid the last payment on the last debt. They resolved to pay cash for everything and never go into debt again.
These 4 Ways You Can Depend on God’s Covenant assure you of God’s intention to do you good. You can depend on God’s covenant. It’s His Word, His bond. He will not go back on His Word. Because of His great love for you, He turns His attention to you and listens to every prayer, every word and every thought you have. He doesn’t rebuke you; He guides you to a greater understanding of the situation.
Instead of looking back and wishing you could “pinky promise” your way through the situations in life, you can look to God and His covenant Word to lead, guide and direct you in all the affairs of your life!
