4 Ways to Be Led by the Spirit of God

4 Ways to Be Led by the Spirit of God

Are you hearing special insights from the Lord each day? You can! Learn four ways to be led by the Spirit of God and achieve supernatural results in your life!

He didn’t own a pair of shoes until he was 12 years old. With only a fifth-grade education and having come from a poor family, he had not been given the opportunity to succeed in life. Yet this man from Texas had become a multimillionaire.

Without any formal education or training, he had become very wealthy through investments. In fact, he had never lost one dime in a single investment! How did he do it? He once shared the secret with his friends:

“I always do this. When someone comes along with an idea, I don’t allow myself to think about it mentally. Instead, I go into my closet and pray. I wait as long as it takes until I hear something. Sometimes it can take as long as three days. I come out for some meals and a little sleep, but mainly I remain quiet and alone with the Lord until I know by an inward witness what I am to do.”

He shared that there were times when an idea seemed like a really good one that would surely bring a return, but his inward witness told him not to invest. At others, it seemed like a dead-end opportunity, but his spirit told him to move ahead and invest. Every single time, he made the right choice.

Following the inward witness gave him special insight into the supernatural and how to become financially prosperous. This man took the time to develop and train his human spirit to be led by the Spirit of God, and you can, too! It won’t come overnight, but you can enjoy this special insight and guidance in every area of your life, as you train your human spirit. Here are four ways you can be led by the Spirit of God every single day.

1. Meditate on the Word of God

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” –Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)

To get to the place in your life where you can be led by the Spirit of God, you must first be able to recognize His voice. This comes from not only prayer and reading the Word of God, but by also meditating on the Word of God, which is one of the ways to be led by His Spirit.

Find 3 Steps to Successfully Meditate on the Word of God here.

What does it mean to meditate on the Word of God? It means to stop and think about what you’ve read, and allow the Holy Spirit to bring new revelation, even to a verse you’ve read a hundred times. Meditating on the Word of God is more than reading the Bible—it is studying, analyzing, seeking and reflecting. It is seeking God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. It’s being open to a new interpretation you haven’t considered before—one that might be different than what your mama told you or your pastor told you.

When you meditate on the Word of God, you are training your human spirit to recognize God’s voice and be more in tune with what He has to say to you, specifically—about every detail of every situation. That’s why God told Joshua that meditating on His Word was the key to prosperity and success (Joshua 1:8). He gave him the secret to achieving everything he had ever wanted. That secret is meditating on His Word.

Watch Kenneth and Gloria Copeland about how meditating on the Word of God will change your life.

The Hebrew word for meditate also translates as mutter. When you meditate on the Word of God, you aren’t just thinking about it during your quiet time. You’re thinking about it all the time—you’re speaking it all the time. It becomes part of your inner man, it stirs your faith, it develops your human spirit, and it makes it easy for you to be led by the Spirit of God.

If you want to move forward and develop your spirit, begin by taking 10-15 minutes each day to meditate on the Word of God. Your spirit will develop and grow, and you will begin to hear solid answers to the questions you so desperately need answered.

2. Be a Doer of the Word of God

“Be doers of the word and not hearers only.” –James 1:22 (NKJV)

One of the surefire ways to be led by the Spirit of God is to be a doer of the Word of God. We don’t see too many Christians who are doers of the Word anymore, do we? They certainly talk the talk, but the walk looks like everyone else in the world. However, the Bible is clear that hearers (people who simply read their Bibles and attend church) don’t accomplish much in this life. That’s why James 2:17 says faith without works is dead. If you need the supernatural in your life, dead faith isn’t going to deliver you to victory.

Like anything else with God, being a doer of the Word is not about rules and religion—it’s a matter of the heart. A Christian who reads the Bible and even meditates on the Word of God, but doesn’t put it into practice, is not following the first and greatest commandment to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30, NKJV).

How do we know? Because in John 14:15, Jesus says, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (NKJV). Loving God is doing what He’s asked you to do in His Word. When you love Him and obey Him, you are in fellowship with Him—you are abiding in Him—and you are in position to be led by His Spirit in every area of your life. Obeying God is drawing near to Him, and that’s when you know that He will draw near to you, too, and whisper the greatest secrets you could ever be privileged to hear.

To become a doer of the Word of God, determine in your heart to do everything you see written in it. That means you alter your lifestyle to fit the Word instead of trying to alter the Word to fit your lifestyle. You don’t make excuses; you don’t try to change what the Bible actually says to suit your own fleshly desires. You just obey the Word by faith. You don’t try to do it. You don’t hope to do it. You do it because the Bible commands you to do it.

For example, talking doubt, defeat and discouragement is not being a doer of the Word because that is not how the Bible tells us to live. The Bible tells us to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Once you set out to be a doer of the Word, revelation will come. As you practice being obedient in even the small things, you’ll find that you’ll begin to hear God more and more each day. The more you respond to His voice, the more you’ll hear Him. It will continue to increase until you have trained your human spirit and are led by the Spirit of God so much that supernatural miracles will begin to flow in your life. Then, you will have the kind of success most people only dream of.

Watch Gloria Copeland and Billye Brim discuss the power of the four steps to train your human spirit.

3. Put the Word of God Above All Else

“My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. –Proverbs 4:20-21 (AMPC)

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland often say that one of the ways to be led by the Spirit of God is to put the Word of God above all else. 2 Chronicles 16:12-13 tells of a situation where King Asa had the opportunity to put the Word of God above all else: “In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa developed a serious foot disease. Yet even with the severity of his disease, he did not seek the Lord’s help but turned only to his physicians. So, he died in the forty-first year of his reign.”

For whatever reason, King Asa didn’t seek God in his hour of trial. Instead, he went after the world’s help. (The world is not in the business of providing supernatural healing, deliverance, restoration or provision. Those things are God’s business.) To be led by the Spirit of God, we must put His Word above all else in every situation. This allows us to be sensitive to His leading, which often goes against “common sense,” statistics, how everyone else is doing it and the world’s view of “logic.”

That’s why we should train ourselves to put the Word of God above all else, or first. We should train ourselves to ask in any matter of life, “What does God’s Word have to say about this?” And then we should put that Word first.

When you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, everything else—everything—will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Seeking first the Kingdom is listening to what THE KING has to say and then doing it without consulting the world.

Don’t “hear” or incline your ear to what the media or politicians say. Don’t ever make plans based on what anyone other than God says! Listen to Him. He is our Leader through troubled times of any kind. He already has a plan for you, and it’s GOOD! Follow it. Follow Him. Jesus and His plan will not only take you through, it will exalt and lift you up, settle, establish and perfect you. He ALWAYS gives us the victory!

4. Instantly Respond to Your Spirit

“The spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord.” –Proverbs 20:27 (NKJV)

The fourth way to be led by the Spirit of God is to instantly respond to your spirit, but to do that you have to learn to recognize the inward witness. Kenneth Hagin spent a lot of time teaching on the subject of training your human spirit, and paying attention to your inward witness. He once said, “The No. 1 way that God guides and directs His children is through the inward witness.” Romans 8:14 (KJV) says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” God doesn’t lead through physical senses—He leads through the inward witness.

This means you don’t need to go around putting out fleeces when you want an answer from God. That is a dangerous place to be, because things can seem to work out in the natural realm when they aren’t the will of God at all. Yes, Gideon did put out a fleece, but that’s because he didn’t have the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Lord had to meet him in the area of physical senses.

However, as Spirit-filled believers, we have an inner voice. This is where the Holy Spirit communicates with us—not in our minds. When you develop and train your spirit by putting the first three steps into practice—meditating on the Word, practicing the Word, and putting the Word first place—your human spirit will become a safe guide for you. Once you’ve trained your human spirit in the Word of God, obeying your human spirit becomes the same as obeying the Holy Spirit.

This isn’t true of any man—but it is true for born-again believers. A man who is born again has become a new man in Christ Jesus, which is why his spirit is able to connect with the Holy Spirit.

Wondering if you’re really hearing from God? Find out the 4 Ways to Know if You’re Hearing God’s Voice here.

If you’re in the habit of looking for a sign or a feeling, or even putting out a fleece when you need guidance in your life, begin to move over into your spirit to find divine guidance. Train yourself up in the Word of God, and then tune into your spirit and obey what you hear immediately. Don’t hesitate! If you do, “common sense” and your natural senses will talk you out of it.

God wants us to be led by His Spirit, and He is going to use our own spirit to guide us. Kenneth Hagin said, “God has a better way than a hit-and-miss system.” Listen to the inward voice, and obey your own spirit. Then, you will operate in the perfect will of God.

When you follow these four ways to be led by the Spirit of God and practice them as a regular part of your life, you will always know in your spirit what you should do in any situation. When you meditate on the Word of God, be a doer of the Word of God, put the Word of God above all else, and instantly respond to your spirit, you can know the will of God in even the smallest details of your life! Take the opportunity to train your spirit—grow stronger—and begin to receive supernatural guidance that will lead you to exceedingly, abundantly above all that you could ever ask or think.

Ministry Minute: The Spirit of Increase

The Spirit of Increase Ministry Minute

In this Ministry Minute video by Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Pastor George Pearsons shares about the spirit of supernatural increase.

Deuteronomy 29:9 says, “Keep therefore the words of this covenant and do them that you may prosper in all that you do.”

As a child of God, you are called to “prosper in all that you do.” Through Jesus, God adopted you into His family and gave you access to THE BLESSING. Through Jesus, you received a right to all that God has to offer—every good thing. That means that you are called to prosper in your spirit, your mind and your body.

God ordained your supernatural increase, and Jesus paid the price for it. He paid the price for you to live free spiritually from the trap of sin and the torments of the enemy. He paid the price for you to live free emotionally from fear, regret, confusion, anxiety and depression. He paid the price for you to live free from sickness and disease in your body. He even paid the price for you to live free from poverty and lack. That’s the benefit of supernatural increase.

Of course, supernatural increase isn’t selfish. No, God desires you to be a blessing to others. You’re blessed to be a blessing. You’re called to be an example and a walking testimony of God’s goodness and love in all you do. Take a moment and watch this Ministry Minute video about supernatural increase and be encouraged. And if you want to learn more about supernatural increase or how to live a spirit-led life, visit kcm.org.

4 Ways to Take Up the Armor of God and Win!

4 Ways to Take Up the Armor of God and Win

Are you fully dressed for battle or is your only battle gear a helmet? Find out how you can take up the full armor of God and win every battle!

“I’m going to make soldiers out of you!” Those are the words Jerry Savelle heard as his drill sergeant screamed at a row of new recruits who had been drafted for the Vietnam War. They weren’t an impressive bunch. In fact, Jerry remembers looking down the line at a man in a three-piece suit, a farmer in overalls and a straw hat, and a hippie in floral bell bottom pants and thinking, We’re in big trouble.

But by the time they were done with boot camp, everything had changed. They had renewed their minds and were now recognizable soldiers ready for battle! What made the difference? Training. That’s what the Body of Christ is in need of today—the Army of God needs to train to fight the good fight of faith by learning to utilize every piece of the armor of God.

Ephesians 6:13-17 says, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (NKJV).

Our Commander and Chief has given us a battle plan to take on the enemy, stand our ground, and win the victory every time. It’s time to take an aggressive stand against the adversary. It’s time to take back everything he’s stolen from us and force him to release everything he has been blocking. While every part of the armor is important, we are going to focus on four tried-and-true battle strategies that will help you take up the armor of God and win!

1. Know Your Enemy and Win

“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” –1 Peter 5:8 (NASB)

In any military operation, the first step is always to identify the enemy, become educated on that enemy’s weaknesses, and learn how they operate. This principle first appeared in The Art of War, which is one of the oldest and most successful books on military strategy, having influenced military decision for centuries. The author, Sun Tzu, says, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Do you know your enemy? It isn’t God, it isn’t your life circumstances, it isn’t your upbringing, nor the people in this world. Ephesians 6:12 tells us we aren’t fighting against flesh and blood “but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (NKJV). Your enemy is Satan. Plain and simple.

Do you know yourself? You are a child of the Most High God. You are an heir to the victory Jesus secured at Calvary. You have the power and authority of Jesus on the earth, and you are an heir to THE BLESSING of Abraham. Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will win every time.

Yet, many Christians are living as if they don’t know who the real enemy is. Jerry Savelle says, “You know, sometimes I feel sorry for God. He’s Commander in Chief of an army, and have you looked at this army lately? Half of His army doesn’t even know who the enemy is. How’d you like to be Commander in Chief when half your troops have their weapons pointed toward headquarters, saying ‘Why’d You do this to me? Oh God, You made me sick. Oh God, You wrecked my car. Why’d You do this to me?’”

If you want to win, you’ve got to know that the devil is your enemy. And his strategy is in full operation 24/7. That’s why the Bible says that we must be of sober spirit. We must be on guard at all times, and we must wear the full armor God has given us for battle. Don’t get tripped up focusing in the wrong direction. Know your enemy and win.

2. Take the Sword of the Spirit and Win

“Take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” –Ephesians 6:17 (NKJV)

If you know yourself, and you know your enemy, there’s one very important question to consider before you engage in battle—what are you wearing? Our Commander in Chief has outlined for us exactly what we are to wear into battle, yet there are so many Christians who won’t wear any battle gear except a helmet. They believe in salvation, but what kind of army runs around with a helmet as their only battle gear?

Ephesians 6:17 tells us that we are to “take…the sword of the Spirit.” In other words, we aren’t just supposed to look at it, we’re to fight with it! There are people who read the Bible and can quote scriptures, but when trouble comes, they draw back. Then, they wonder why they face so many defeats.

The Word of God is a weapon. This is critical to understand. When you read the Word of God, study it and meditate on it—you’re reading a battle plan. You’re studying your weapon. Just as with any weapon, it takes training and practice before the battle to know how to use it properly. Gloria Copeland encourages believers to practice taking a stand for healing, or anything else, by starting with something small. Don’t wait for a serious illness to try standing on the Word. Stand against a headache, stand against allergies, stand for finances in a small area, stand for your family in the small things. Practice using your weapon—then you’ll find you’re well-trained for the battle.

God tells us just where the battle begins in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, which says, “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (NKJV). In other words, your battle is won or lost in your mind.

Watch as Kenneth Copeland teaches you how negative thoughts cost you something, and how you can draw the faith line in the sand!

Your thoughts are what will cause you to lower your shield of faith or lay down your sword of the Spirit. Your thoughts are where you decide to stand firm or give in. Your mind is where you decide if by His stripes you are healed, or if you are going to lay down and take what the devil is dishing out.

If you’re already facing a battle, how much longer are you going to put up with the devil stealing everything you’ve got? Don’t compromise when he throws darts your way. Retreating is not a biblical principle. There’s only one way to respond—pick up your sword and fight.

That’s what David did when the Amalekites had burned down his entire village and taken the wives and children of him and his men. The enemy had stolen everything. When David saw this, he sat down and wept. The Bible says he was greatly distressed (1 Samuel 30:6).

When you’re facing hardships, it’s OK to be greatly distressed. Most of us know what that feels like. But you are not entitled to stay greatly distressed. There’s a time to mourn, and then there’s a time to rise up and fight. What did David do to prepare for battle? He encouraged himself in the Lord.

When you find yourself in this position of being greatly distressed—when you’ve got darts all over your backside, sticking out of your helmet, in your kneecaps—everywhere there is a place for a dart, you’ve got a dart—encourage yourself in the Lord by meditating and speaking the Word of God.

That’s what David did. Instead of just accepting defeat, he encouraged himself, and then he rose up and asked God if he should pursue his enemy. And God said, “Not only pursue them but overtake them and recover all” (see verse 8).

That’s God’s plan for you today. It is not the will of God for you to lose any battle. It is not the will of God that Satan take everything you’ve got. If you’ve been discouraged, it’s time to encourage yourself in the Lord, and then take up the sword of the Spirit and win!

3. Take the Shield of Faith and Win

“Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” –Ephesians 6:16 (NKJV)

This verse says you will be able to quench all the fiery darts Satan throws your way—not a few, not the small ones—ALL. It also says that faith is “above all” in battle. Without it, you’re not going to see victory.

When it comes to winning, God has this to say in Deuteronomy 20:1 (AMP): “When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”

This is our Commander in Chief giving us our war strategy. He is telling us how to conduct ourselves in battle. The shield of faith doesn’t lose hope, it doesn’t give up and it doesn’t quit. The shield of faith believes God and takes Him at His Word—no matter what the situation looks like.

Watch Kenneth and Gloria Copeland as they teach you why everything in your life is subject to faith.

The shield of faith enables you to extinguish the fiery darts of the devil, but the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition says, “flaming missiles.” Maybe you feel like the devil quit throwing fiery darts years ago and has moved on to missiles. Maybe you feel like you’ve been standing as long as you can, but you just can’t stand any longer.

Maybe you feel like your helmet is falling off. Maybe you feel like you have so many darts in your shield of faith that there isn’t any room for another dart. Maybe you feel like your breastplate is just barely hanging on. And now, you’re asking, “What do I do next?”

The answer is to rejoice. Faith takes the victory before it even sees the evidence. Rejoice because you’ve got the devil right where you want him. Jerry Savelle says, “It’s always an indication when you’re under the greatest pressure to quit, that the enemy has fired his best shot; and if this one doesn’t get you, he’s finished.”

Take the shield of faith and extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. If you refuse to quit, if you refuse to give up, if you stand firm, there’s not a thing he can do to defeat you. If you’re in a battle, don’t lose hope. Pick up your shield of faith and win!

4. Stand Firm and Win

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then….” –Ephesians 6:13-14 (NIV)

This is your end-of-battle strategy. You’ve done everything. You’re wearing the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation. You’re holding the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit. You’ve been fighting and fighting and fighting until you feel like you can’t fight anymore. And you’re wondering, Now what? God knew we would face times like these—questions like these—so He gave us the answer: “Stand firm” (Ephesians 6:14).

Now, notice that “stand firm” leaves no room for compromise. Anything less than stand firm is compromise. Anything less than stand firm is to yield to the enemy. Anything less than stand firm is to doubt God’s ability to deliver you.

Learn 3 Things to Do While You’re Standing Firm in Faith here.

You might feel shaky, you might feel like your armor’s falling off, but as long as you’re standing you cannot lose. Don’t just sit back and hope it will just happen. You can die thinking like that. You can lose everything thinking like that.

The next time the devil brings up your failures in battle—how you quit and how you compromised and how you gave up—you answer back and say, “No, I’m not that same person anymore. I am prepared to stand. I am telling you upfront, there will be no quitting. There will be no relenting. There will be no compromising. There will be no backing up. God is on my side. The God who caused me to win before will cause me to win this time in Jesus’ Name.”

That’s standing firm. When you stand firm, you will win.

When you take up the armor of God, you will win! You have to know your enemy, take the sword of the Spirit and the shield of faith, and stand firm. It’s a guaranteed and unbeatable strategy. Don’t give the devil the satisfaction of taking you on without a fight. Put on the whole armor of God—do it by faith—and go take your victory!

Don’t Quit on God’s Plan on Your Life – Ministry Minute

Ministry-Minute-Don't Quit

In this Ministry Minute video, Mac Hammond shares an encouragement to stand strong and not quit on God’s plan, on the calling you have received.

Don’t quit on God’s plan for your life. That’s the message in this Ministry Minute video by Kenneth Copeland Ministries. In this short video, Mac Hammond, Senior Pastor of Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, shares an encouragement to stand strong and not quit on God’s plan, on the calling you have received.

To do this, you’ll need patience—Spirit-led, spirit-filled patience. Strong’s Concordance provides one definition for patience that is this: “cheerful endurance.” When you’re waiting for the plan of God in your life to be fulfilled, patience—cheerful endurance—is required. You don’t want to give up right before your breakthrough. You want to stand strong on God’s Word for His promises to be fulfilled.

How can you do this? You rely on the joy of the Lord because it is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The joy of the Lord, which comes to you as part of your salvation and as a result of stirring up your faith, strengthens you was you wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled in your life.

So don’t quit on God’s plan for your life. Whether you’re believing for a new ministry, a new relationship, a physical healing or a new direction, if God has promised it, He will fulfill it. Listen as Mac Hammond shares this encouraging word. And if you need someone to stand in prayer with you, then visit Kenneth Copeland Ministries at kcm.org to contact our prayer ministers. They’re waiting to pray and encourage you on your way. Remember, Jesus is Lord and we’re here for you!

3 Ways to Reap in the Year of Abundant Harvest

Steps to Reap in the Year of Abundant Harvest

Are you ready to reap an abundant harvest in your finances, health and family? Take hold of the word of the Lord for 2019 and partake of your harvest!

A new year, a new season, and with it—new prophecies. When Kenneth Copeland received the word of the Lord for 2019, it was clear: “2019—the Year of Abundant Harvest.” One thing is sure—the Body of Christ needs abundant harvest to do the work of the Lord, live out His promises, and bring His Word to a hurting world.

Hear the word of the Lord for 2019 through Kenneth Copeland below:

Have you been believing for abundant harvest in your life? This is your year. Psalm 65:11-13 says, “You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing” (NIV).

What Is a Harvest?

Simply put, a harvest is a result of something that individuals or nations have sown—good or bad. For example, an individual walking in unforgiveness or a nation voting against Israel is sowing bad seed. Obeying the Word of God and living by faith is sowing good seed.

If you haven’t been sowing toward your harvest, it’s not too late! If you’re ready to be blessed beyond measure in 2019, begin today with these three ways to reap in the Year of Abundant Harvest.

1. Get a Vision of Your Harvest

“You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new.” –Leviticus 26:10 (NIV)

You might like the idea of an abundant harvest, but until you get a vision in your spirit of your own harvest, and see it with your spiritual eyes, it will remain just that—a nice idea. What’s the difference between wanting a harvest and seeing it in the spirit? The answer is simple: expectancy.

Oral Roberts used to say, “Miracles are coming toward you and passing by you every day.” In other words, if you aren’t expecting a miracle, you’re not going to reach out with the hand of faith to receive it—to take it. That’s why the devil works overtime to keep your mind focused on past and present trials, statistics or someone else’s failure in the same area. He does that to keep you from doing the most important thing you can do—get a vision of your harvest. Why does he care? Because a miracle settles the issue. It brings in your harvest.

If you’ve been living in the land of not enough, it might be a challenge for you to get a true vision of your harvest. Begin to renew your mind to God’s will for you to live the abundant life. Study the Scriptures, spend time in prayer, and ask the Lord to help you get the vision of what He has for you deep into your spirit where nothing can touch it.

What kind of harvest can you expect in 2019? The word of the Lord to Kenneth Copeland was that you can expect an abundant harvest.

An abundant harvest might be described in agricultural terms as a “bumper crop.” A bumper crop is a crop that has yielded an unusually productive harvest. When you reap an abundant harvest, you will have more than enough, overflow, and blessing on top of blessing. There will be no lack, nothing will be missing, and all desires fulfilled—and then some.

Leviticus 26:3-5, in The Living Bible, describes an abundant harvest this way: “If you obey all of my commandments, I will give you regular rains, and the land will yield bumper crops, and the trees will be loaded with fruit long after the normal time! And grapes will still be ripening when sowing time comes again. You shall eat your fill, and live safely in the land.”

Would you like to see that kind of harvest in your life this year? That’s God’s plan for you. Psalm 115:14 says, “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children” (NKJV). He wants to increase you more and more. Maybe it doesn’t look like it is even possible in your world right now—a harvest in your health, finances or family—but remember this: The laws of the spirit supersede the laws of the natural. It doesn’t need to look possible or even be possible—the favor of God will propel you further and faster than you could ever imagine!

That’s what happened in Genesis 26:1 when “there was a famine in the land…” (NKJV). There certainly wasn’t any end in sight, but right in the middle of that famine, God came and blessed Abraham mightily with THE BLESSING that we are still heirs of today. Right in the middle of a hopeless situation—God showed up and gave him a vision of an abundant harvest, and “the man got richer by the day” (verse 13, MSG).

Are you facing a famine in your health, finances or family? Whatever it is, it’s no match for God. “He will cause the rain to come down for you,” (Joel 2:23, NKJV). Take the time to get rid of fear, doubt and what ifs. Take the time to renew your mind to the Lord of the harvest and get a vision of the abundant harvest He’s waiting to rain down on you!

 2. Be Qualified to Receive Your Harvest

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” –Galatians 6:9

Once you have a vision of your harvest in your spirit, it’s time to be sure you’re qualified to receive it! While some believers think a harvest will never come, others believe it will just fall into their laps. Neither one is true!

In Leviticus 26, when God speaks of your land yielding bumper crops, He begins with a qualifier: “If you obey all of my commandments” (verse 3, TLB). What many Christians fail to recognize is that God’s love is unconditional, but His promises are not. If you want to reap a harvest, you have a part to play—and it’s more than just being saved and believing God wants to bless you.

Find out more about the importance of the “ifs” in the Bible here.

In Genesis 41, Joseph had THE BLESSING all over him. Though he had been a slave and sent to prison, he ended up being promoted right up to the throne. Why? Because he remained faithful to God and obedient to His commands.

That is an important aspect of partaking of the Year of Abundant Harvest—being qualified to receive it. For the faithful, there will be quick and accelerated promotions. But to qualify, you are going to have to walk in a position of servanthood, discipline, diligence, respect, honor and love. To qualify, you need to obey His commandments.

You might be thinking, Well, I tithe, so I qualify for a financial harvest. Tithing is certainly a prerequisite for financial blessing, but so is honesty. Are there areas where you tend to exaggerate or leave out certain details? Think about your love walk. You may think you have it covered because you’re generally nice to people, but are you critical in your heart? Do you tend to judge others more harshly than you ought?

Allow the Holy Spirit to point out the small places in your life that need to be corrected. Refuse to be the kind of person who won’t allow Him or others to exhort you and get you on the right track—the one that leads to your harvest!

The word of the Lord through Kenneth Copeland also included several specific instructions to qualify for receiving a harvest. Take time to mediate on and put into practice those things He is calling His people to act upon:

  • A Higher Order of Prayer. There must be a higher order of prayer coming forth out of the family. Intercession, petition and supplication for the lost, much calling things that be not as though they were. 2019 must be a year of great intercession and witnessing outside the walls of the church building.
  • Walk by Faith. I’m going to require you to get healed on your own faith. Most of the people in My ministry, saith The LORD, most of them got healed on their own faith.
  • Miracles Under Your Own Hand. People that have no idea about Me or anything about My WORD will come running to those of you that will spend time in intercessory prayer. I’m not talking about hours and hours. I’m talking about minutes a day. Just give Me part of your morning. Just give Me part of your evening, and pray in the spirit and intercede for the lost. And I’ll see to it, saith The LORD, that 2019 is the most startling year of your life.
  • Your Body Will Be Renewed. I’ll see to it that your body begins to renew and your youth begins to renew, and all of a sudden, pains and aches that have been there for years will disappear, when you get out and begin to minister to those that have never heard about Me, saith Jesus.

Don’t waste any more time! Get qualified to receive your harvest. If you don’t think you have any attitudes or behaviors to correct—think again. The Lord will always be working to perfect you until He returns. Refuse to close your heart to correction or rebuke. Allow God to work in your life. Have a heart that is sensitive to His voice and the kind of humility that heeds the voices of those around you—the ones God uses help you along the way.

It takes work! Pastor George Pearsons’ grandfather had a garden that always yielded huge, impressive tomatoes. His secret? He was constantly tending to that garden—pulling weeds, watering, fertilizing. And he had a fence around it to protect his crop from invaders. He invested in the seeds he had sown to ensure an abundant harvest.

2019 is the Year of Abundant Harvest! Tend to the seeds you’ve sown. Put in the work. Make sure you’re qualified to receive your harvest when it comes your way.

3. Actively Reap Your Harvest

“Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth.” –Isaiah 41:15 (NKJV)

Reaping the harvest. This is certainly the desired end result! It’s getting from the “amen” to “there it is,” and it’s what every one of us should desire in our hearts. The problem is, many believers don’t use their faith to actively reap their harvests. They’ve gotten stuck instead on the seed-sowing part. They say, “I just keep sowing…and sowing…and sowing, but nothing is happening.”

But once you’ve sown your seed, that’s when the real work begins! Consider the farmer who invests time and money planting a crop. Then, at harvest time, he simply sits on the porch and watches it rot in the field. Our response would be, “That’s crazy!” Unfortunately, that is the way some Christians think. Many sow their seed, then just wait for God to reap the harvest, but that is not the way it works.

A harvest doesn’t just jump from the field to the barn. Someone must go out and reap it. And that someone is us!

Read more about The Rules of Reaping Your Harvest here.

Why, then, aren’t all of us producing bumper crops every season? Because we are sitting around waiting for God to do all the work. However, it doesn’t work that way. We sow the seed, God produces the increase, then we reap the harvest.

Watch Gloria Copeland and Pastor George Pearsons teach you how to call in your harvest in the video below:

How do we do this?

  1. WE REAP OUR HARVEST WITH WORDS OF FAITH. Isaiah 41:15 is a picture of us: “Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff” (KJV). The Hebrew cross-reference to the word teeth is Your mouth is the threshing instrument—cutting down the harvest, bringing it in. When you call those things which be not as though they were, your mouth is in the field bringing in the harvest.

Need help knowing what to confess? Try these Confessions for Reaping a Harvest from Jerry Savelle.

When you bring tithes and offerings to the altar, pray over your giving, and make a powerful declaration of faith. Call in your harvest. Command it to come to you. Send out the harvesting angels to gather it and bring it to you.

What kind of harvest are you looking for? Are you speaking and expecting to get sick, to age, to become less and less healthy and strong? Or are you speaking words of healing, life and blessing? Every time you open your mouth, you are sowing seeds.

2. WE REAP OUR HARVEST WITH WORDS OF PRAISE. Psalm 67:5-6—Praise yields a harvest. Jerry Savelle said, “The depth of your praise will determine the magnitude of your harvest.” The more you praise, thank and glorify God, the bigger the harvest will be. Why? Because you are watering, fertilizing and feeding that seed to help it grow.

Don’t sit back and wait for your harvest to fall into your lap. Get a vision, get qualified and get to work reaping that harvest. Your days of famine are over. 2019 is the Year of Abundant Harvest! It’s time to join your fellow believers in the fields and reap your harvest!

3 Ways Angels Are at Your Service

3 Ways to Put Your Angels to Work

Are angels really here to help you? Can you somehow set them to work on your behalf? Find out what the Bible says about how angels are at your service!

Have you heard the stories? Bullets that seemed to go right through someone without leaving a mark, cars that crossed through one another without actually making impact, people in danger transported from one place to another with no explanation. These are just a few examples of the supernatural encounters Christians are experiencing every day—encounters with angels.

What Are Angels?

Despite what is often depicted in books and on television, angels are not little, fat babies with bows and arrows in their hands. They are not soft and gentle with long, flowing blond hair. The only angels we read about in the Bible are big, strong male warriors whose presence often startled those they encountered. They are real. They are powerful. And if you are a believer, they are a vital part of your life.

According to Hebrews 1:14, God created angels to help His people: “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (NKJV). One of the ways God carries out your protection, His covenant and your deliverance is through angels. You literally have angels at your service.

You only have to see them with your spiritual eyes to know it’s true. That’s what Elisha was telling his servant when they were surrounded by a large Syrian army. The servant was afraid, but Elisha said, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (2 Kings 6:16, NKJV). When the servant opened his spiritual eyes, he saw an army of angels and chariots of fire surrounding the entire Syrian army!

Angels were always carrying out God’s plans and purposes in the Bible. They haven’t retired since then, either. Angels are at work today just as they’ve always been. More importantly, they are not flying around up there. They are HERE. This earth is full of them!

You have an angel working with you. He belongs to you. He’ll be with you all the days of your life. He’s always before the face of the Father (Matthew 18:10). Angels are tremendously strong, but they all bow to the Name of Jesus. They are here to add their strength to what you do. You have authority in the Name of Jesus where your angels are concerned.

You’re not in this by yourself! If you haven’t had faith for what angels can and will do in your life, it’s time to open your eyes and see that there are more with you than there are with any opposition you will ever face on this earth. Begin to see through spiritual eyes, and learn these three ways angels are at your service.

 1. Angels Ensure Your Protection

“For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up.” –Psalm 91:11-12 (NKJV)

Do you take your angels with you everywhere you go? It’s true—they follow you everywhere you go, but are you taking them with you spiritually? Are you putting them to work?

Angels are at your service—to carry out God’s will—to protect you from danger and harm. When you plead the blood of Jesus over yourself, your vehicles, your home—you’re employing angels. When you declare Psalm 91 over your life—you’re employing angels. When you speak out, “Angels are protecting me. I send forth ministering angels to protect me and my family”—you’re employing angels.

That is something Pastor George Pearson’s daughter, Aubrey, practices in her life, and it resulted in supernatural protection for her family. Her husband had been traveling, and she and her two young daughters, who were 2 and 4 at the time, were staying at her parents’ home.

One early morning, when Pastor George was returning home from a workout, he found two-year-old Kayelin on the front porch without her pants, crying. It wasn’t until later that they discovered her pants lying next to the pool—soaking wet. This little girl had been in the pool, not knowing how to swim, and was somehow lifted out to safety. Somehow. That’s the specialty of angels—defying natural laws and reason to bring about the will of God—supernatural protection in our lives.

And that protection belongs to you, too. You have an angel in the room with you right now. Waiting to protect you, on assignment to serve you. Are you employing him? It could save your life.

Creflo Dollar has said many times, had it not been for angels, he wouldn’t be here today. Here is his testimony:

“Years ago, I was in a car accident so bad that when the police showed up, they called the coroner. They thought everyone involved was dead. I was riding in a truck with other ministers to a finance convention in Sacramento, Calif., when someone ran a red light and struck the truck we were in. When the car hit us, I saw my angels hovering in front of me. I am confident it is because of them that my life was redeemed from destruction that day.”

The devil has come to steal, kill and destroy, but God has other plans for your life! Furthermore, He has an army of angels to defend your right to enjoy it. Not only does He protect His people physically, but He protects the preaching of His Word, too.

There have been a number of eyewitness accounts of Kenneth Copeland’s angel in action. Each account has described the angel in the same way, just like the first man who saw him, who explained it to Kenneth this way:

“He was the biggest fellow I have ever seen in all my life. The only way I know to describe him is that he looked like Mr. Clean. Every move you made, he stuck to you like glue; he stayed right with you the whole time you were preaching. You’d wind down a little, and he’d lean over and say something in your ear, and you’d get all wound up again.”

Angels are among us. Angels are at your service—to protect you, your loved ones and the preaching of the Word of God. Start believing, expecting and releasing them to do the will of the Father in your life. When you activate your faith, you activate your angel.

Kenneth Copeland shares more about how your angels will work for you.

2. Angels Enforce Your Covenant Rights

“Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.” –Psalm 103:20-21 (NKJV)

Health, protection, financial prosperity—every covenant right belongs to you, and God has given His angels charge over enforcing those rights. Psalm 103:20-21 says that angels excel in strength, do His Word, and do His pleasure. What does that mean? As Gloria Copeland says, “Angels are covenant-enforcing agents.”

Angels are here for a purpose. They are here to establish God’s covenant in our lives. How do we release them to work on our behalf? With our words.

Your words give your angels charge to go prosper you, or to fold their hands and step back. When you confess the Word of God over a situation, you put your angels to work. If you speak faith words enforced by God’s Word, your angels are free to bring about what you want to come to pass (Psalm 103:20).

Even in the Old Covenant, the angel told Daniel, “Your words were heard; and I have come because of your words” (Daniel 10:12, NKJV). Daniel’s words put the angel to work for him. You can do the same. Don’t render your angels helpless with wrong words—speak what you want to come to pass and let them work on your behalf.

When you have a need in your life, speak words that line up with the Word of God, and start expecting your angels to be active in helping it come to pass. Jerry Savelle said, “God wants us to expect accelerated activity of the angels in the last days.”

And it’s true—we’re seeing it more and more. There was a man who had a heart condition, and he had been working in faith with the Lord to receive healing, as promised by God’s covenant. One night, he woke up, and there was an angel standing over him with his hands in his chest working on his heart. He looked at him, and the angel said, “Everything’s all right. Go ahead and go back to sleep.” And he woke up with a new heart.

There is story after story just like it. Now, don’t go looking to see an angel, because Satan will be happy to oblige by manifesting himself as an angel of light to mess with you. But you can expect your angel to work with you. In the meantime, seek the Lord and pray. Say “God, reveal to me how to aid my angels and their work with me and my family.” Angels are waiting to enforce your covenant rights!

3. Angels Carry Out Your Deliverance

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.” –Psalm 34:17 (NKJV)

It’s not an exaggeration to say that every one of us, or someone we know, is facing some kind of problem today—some kind of trouble we can’t escape without the help of God. For one person, that trouble may be a disease that medical science can’t cure. For another, it may be financial problems or a family crisis. But no matter what kind of wall the devil has backed you up against, you can count on one thing: God has promised to deliver you.

That’s right. The Word says the afflictions of the righteous are many, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. One way He does this is by giving His angels charge over you. He charges them to protect you…to keep you…to minister to you…to deliver you.

One example of angels delivering God’s people is found in Acts 12. Peter had been arrested and was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with chains in prison and surrounded by guards. Maximum security. No natural possibility of escape.

But God’s people were praying and believing God for his protection, and “an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, ‘Arise quickly!’ And his chains fell off his hands” (verse 7, NKJV). Following the angel, Peter walked right out of there past all the guards without a hitch.

You see, when you are dealing with the angels, things like bars, chains, doors and fences don’t make any difference. The angels know what to do. The chains fell off Peter’s hands. Anything holding you back from deliverance is no match for God’s army of angels.

There is story after story where angels have intervened to drastically alter the outcome of situations in the Bible and in our day as well. Some time ago, for example, a KCM employee was riding to work on his motorcycle, when suddenly a big truck pulled across the road right in front of him. It happened so quickly there was nothing he could do. He didn’t have time to think. He didn’t have time to speak. He didn’t have time to do anything.

Many times, that’s exactly how things happen—suddenly. Suddenly, trouble is upon you. It doesn’t tell you in advance that it’s coming, so you’ll have time to fast and pray. You have to be ready. You have to live every day believing God. You have to say continually, “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress.”

That’s how it was with that fellow on the motorcycle. All of a sudden, there was a truck in front of him. That’s the last thing he remembered. The next thing he knew, he was walking around on the side of the road. A few yards away, his motorcycle laid underneath the truck.

A girl who was driving right behind him saw the whole thing. She said when the motorcycle slid under the truck, the man who was riding it went up in the air, did a flip and landed safely on his feet by a fence nearby. His only injury was a scratch on his arm. That is an example of angels at work—delivering God’s people from danger.

But here’s the point. That fellow was ready. He didn’t have time to grab his Bible and brush up on Psalm 91. He was already prepared.

Watch Jerry Savelle share a powerful story about his encounter with an angel.

If you haven’t been getting the action you need in your finances, your health or any other area, look to your words. There’s no shortage of angel power, although you may be experiencing a shortage of Word power on your part. Solve that shortage by putting God’s promises of deliverance in your heart and mouth. Continually give the angels the Word they need to deliver you from any and every harmful situation.

Learn 5 Ways to Put Your Angels to Work here.

Now that you know these three ways angels are your service, start expecting angels to protect you, enforce your covenant rights and deliver you! Say, “Thank You, heavenly Father, for giving Your angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways.” Once you’ve spoken that word of faith, stand fast. Don’t fear. Don’t waver. Angels are at your service!

Join Us In Prayer Over the Passing of the Recent New York Abortion Law

Add your prayers of faith and agreement as Brother and Sister Copeland pray for the protection of babies in the womb from the horrific expansion of abortion passed in the state of New York on Jan. 22, 2019.

Last week, on Jan. 22, 2019, New York politicians cheered and applauded, as they passed the “Reproductive Health Act,” the bill that allows abortions up to the point of birth.

The Reproductive Health act:

  • Allows abortion on-demand, no questions asked, up to 24 weeks (6 months).
  • Allows abortions in the 3rd trimester if it the mother’s life or health are in danger for any reason.
  • Eliminates the requirement to provide life-saving efforts to babies born alive in failed abortions.
  • Eliminates criminal charges for someone who assaults a pregnant woman and the baby dies.
  • Any healthcare provider, not just doctors, can perform abortions.
  • All employers must provide any and all birth control and abortion pills with no co-pays or deductibles, and they cannot decline to provide coverage for any woman.

Read the entire bill here.

New York Governor Cuomo and abortion supporters smile joyfully, as the governor signs the so-called “Reproductive Health Act” on the 46th Anniversary of Roe V. Wade, making NY the most liberal abortion state in the nation.

The passing of this abortion bill received a standing ovation by the legislature, and the World Trade Center needle was lit up in pink to celebrate a woman’s right to choose an abortion.

Featured Image

Ironically, in celebration of legalizing abortion up to the point of birth, and other horrific so-called abortion “rights,” NY Governor Cuomo ordered the top of the “Freedom Tower” to be lit up in pink, as unborn babies lose their most basic freedom–THEIR RIGHT TO LIFE!

How Should We Respond?

1. Vote for Pro-Life Politicians at Every Level–Local, State and National

Voting for life is the No. 1 issue in the nation! Why? God has given everyone a right to life. According to polls, 90 percent of pastors will not speak against abortion from the pulpit because they believe the lie that abortion is a political issue, but that’s not true. Abortion is a moral, Biblical and spiritual issue. Abortion happened long before Roe V. Wade, and God has already given us the answer to abortion. He values every life because He is the one who gives life to every physical body. As Christians, we should vote for pro-life politicians, and pastors should be informing their congregation of God’s truth on this matter.

Watch this episode of Believer’s Voice of Victory with Pastor George Pearsons, Michele Bachmann, David Barton and Keith Butler, as they discuss abortion from God’s perspective and the importance of voting for life:

Are there times when an abortion is the right option? Find out our answer here.

2. Forgive and Pray

Remember our fight is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). It can be tempting to get angry and upset with legislatures who vote for laws, such as this abortion bill, that contradict God’s Word. However, we have to remember that we are called to love our “enemies” and to pray for them. As well, we are called to pray for all leaders, whether we agree with them or not (I Timothy 2:1-4).

As Christians, we should stay out of strife at all costs. The people who pass and support anti-biblical laws have been blinded by the work of the enemy and need deliverance. How will they be delivered? From some angry Christian? Not likely. It is the goodness and love of God that leads men to repentance (Romans 2:4). You can’t pray for others to encounter God if you are angry with them. Mark 11:25 tells us that when we pray, if we have anything against someone, we are to forgive them.

On Jan. 31, Kenneth Copeland gave a prophecy for 2019, in which He said this about prayer:

A Higher Order of Prayer

First of all, there must be a higher order of prayer coming forth out of the family. Intercession, petition and supplication for the lost, much prayer, much calling forth, much calling things that be not as though they were—praying for the lost. Reaching into the heart of God and asking Him for the nation. 2019 must be a year of great intercession and witnessing outside the walls of the church building.

Thank you for joining us as we pray for the innocent children affected by this abortion law. Remember to vote for pro-life politicians, and to forgive and pray. As we become doers of the Word of God, humble ourselves in prayer, seek His face, and intercede for our nation, God promises He will heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

How to Taste the Goodness of God in 3 Steps

How to Taste the Goodness of God in three steps

You may believe in the goodness of God, but do you know how to taste the goodness of God in your own life? Find out how you can start experiencing it for yourself!

Our God is a good God! If you know Him and love Him, you’ll likely respond with a hearty, “Amen!” Yesterday, today, forever—He is a good God. On our best days, on our worst days—He is a good God. When we understand life’s circumstances, when we don’t understand—He is still a good God. He never changes.

Now, you might know of the goodness of God, but do you really know what it’s like to “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8, NIV)? Just think about the difference between knowing about something and experiencing it for yourself. When you taste or see something, it isn’t just something you’ve heard about or believe—it’s something you’ve experienced. You can testify to its truth. For example, you may have seen a big chocolate cake, believed it existed, and even seen others enjoying it, but it isn’t real and tangible in your own life until you’ve tasted it yourself.

Maybe you believe God is good, but you aren’t sure He’ll be good to you or that He’ll be good to you in every area of your life—health, family and finances. Maybe you know He’s the giver of good and perfect gifts, and you’ve seen them operating in the lives of others. But are you expecting to see them in your own life more than just occasionally?

The goodness of God doesn’t come and go with the seasons. He is always good. He desires to bless you, heal you, deliver you and prosper you every day. So, if you’re a Christian and you aren’t enjoying life—you aren’t doing it right! Jesus said, “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]” (John 10:10, Amplified Bible). God wants us to enjoy this life!

If you’re not expecting and experiencing the fullness of the blessings of God in every part of your life (even the tiniest part), it’s time for a change—it’s time to learn how to taste the goodness of God with these purposeful steps.

1. Renew Your Mind to the Goodness of God

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” –Romans 12:2 (NIV)

You might think you’ve got it covered when it comes to understanding the goodness of God, but if you really want to press into His goodness, start by accepting that you might have something more to learn! Sadly, most of us have been exposed to religion—the kind that says you can’t depend on the goodness of God. The kind that says God sends sickness and poverty to teach you something or for His glory. Or maybe you even believe in His goodness, but deep down, you aren’t expecting to taste every morsel of it.

It’s surprising the number of people who can read Scripture and determine God to be anything but good. All anyone really needs to do to come to the right conclusion about God’s nature is look at the actions of His Son.

If religious traditions have robbed you of the goodness of God, or if you have lived hesitant to expect all of His goodness for fear of disappointment, it’s time to press the reset button. Even if you’ve been your own enemy—convincing yourself that you somehow are unworthy of the goodness of God (or at least some of it), it’s not too late!

You can renew your mind to the goodness of God. Start today washing those traditions and wrong thoughts away with the truth. Get out your Bible and let God Himself tell you through His own Word that He is the God who heals you (Exodus 15:26). Dig into the Scriptures and discover for yourself that He is the God of mercy (Psalm 86:5), loving-kindness (Jeremiah 9:24), and compassion (Psalm 145:8).

Begin renewing your mind today with these 65 Verses About the Goodness of God.

Put your doubts to rest and open your heart to receive the truth about your heavenly Father. Renew your mind to the goodness of God. It’s the only thing that can truly set you free.

2. Believe You Will See the Goodness of God

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” –Psalm 27:13 (NKJV)

If you want to taste the goodness of God, you need to believe you will see the goodness of God in your life. It’s not enough to believe it exists—you can believe a million dollars exists without believing you’ll see it in your life—you need to get to a place where you’re expecting it. And you cannot see the goodness of God unless you believe He is a good God who gives “every good and every perfect gift” (James 1:17, KJV) to those who love Him.

Let’s set the record straight: God is not holding back any good thing from anyone. First Corinthians 2:9-10 says, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (NKJV). He has things in store for you that you’ve never even dared to imagine. That’s exciting to think about!

Watch as Gloria Copeland and Billye Brim share how God doesn’t want anything to be missing or broken in your life.

The Hebrew word shalom, which the Lord uses so frequently to bless His people, means to have wholeness in your life—spirit, soul and body. It means you have nothing missing, nothing broken. God knows that is the way things ought to be, and that is the way He wants them to be—not just for a few of His people but for every one of them. As Psalm 145:9 says, The Lord is good to all” (KJV).

This truth greatly impacted Healing School years ago. When Gloria began teaching on the goodness of God in healing services, we saw more miracles and healings than before. As people understood God’s goodness, they found it easy to trust Him. That trust enabled them to open their hearts to His healing power.

When they saw from the Word that it was the “Father’s good pleasure to give” them the Kingdom (Luke 12:32) and that “no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11), they realized God was for them and not against them. When they caught that revelation, they were able to relax and by faith receive what they needed from Him.

If you doubt that God is good and that He is going to manifest His goodness in your life, you will lose heart and quit. If you lose heart and doubt that God is good and faithful to you, you will move into unbelief and close the door on what He wants to give you.

Is your faith real? Find out here.

Where will you be this time next year if you don’t start believing to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living? You’ll be right where you are now. Things will be no better in your life. In fact, they’ll probably be worse because the devil will still be unhindered in his work to steal, kill and destroy.

But if you’ll find out what the Bible says about God’s goodness and you’ll dare to believe it, things will begin to change in a wonderful way. Your life will immediately begin to improve. A year from now, you’ll not only see that goodness on the pages of your Bible, you’ll see it around you every day of your life.

3. Receive the Goodness of God

“No good thing will He withhold from those from those who walk uprightly.” –Psalm 84:11 (NKJV)

He will withhold no good thing. This verse plainly says that God isn’t in the business of withholding things from those who live according to His Word. Nothing. Once you renew your mind and believe you will see the goodness of God, all that is left for you to do is receive the goodness of God.

What’s missing in your life today? What do you long for, pray for, dream about? If it lines up with His Word, God wants you to have it. That doesn’t mean you don’t have a part to play, of course. Your part is obedience and receiving by faith. And sometimes there is a preparation period between the “Amen” and “There it is.” But don’t doubt for a moment that He wants to give it to you.

What is The Vehicle That Will Drive Your Faith to the Finish Line? Find out here.

Why do some people have trouble receiving from God? Because they don’t have a full understanding of the goodness of God—it’s the foundation of our faith in Him.

Perhaps you have been a believer for many years. You have enjoyed the blessing of eternal salvation. You know you are headed for heaven, and you have already tasted the goodness of the Lord in some areas of your life. Praise God for that! But wouldn’t you like to go further in your walk with Him? Wouldn’t you like to be bolder and more daring in your faith?

Think of the times when you sensed the Lord calling you to do something new, to make a change in your life. Like Peter, you heard the voice of the Master calling you across the water of life to new levels in Him. You heard Him say, Come! You wanted to step out of your little comfort zone and walk on the water…but you didn’t.

Fear stopped you. You saw the wind and the waves in the circumstances around you. You grew timid and shrank back. You didn’t reach out and receive.

If so, don’t feel condemned. Instead, let the truth strengthen your faith. Let it inspire you to research the Word and find out more about the goodness of God. Feed your heart on that goodness until your confidence grows, and you know you can trust Him with every part of your life.

Watch as Jerry Savelle teaches you how to expect the goodness of God, and what great things He has in store!

You can trust God. Don’t shut Him off in your mind with traditions of men, unbelief, fear and sin. If things aren’t working, we need to consider our ways, not God’s. If we are disobedient, we need to make adjustments. If not, we need to walk by faith and not by sight until circumstances change.

Until you settle the fact that God is good and you can trust Him with your life, your faith is never going to be great because you will always draw back in fear. You will always be thinking, What if He doesn’t come through for me? What if He is not listening to me? What if He asks me to do something that will harm me in some way?

But once your heart grasps the goodness of God, you won’t be plagued by those questions. You’ll be confident in the fact that He will never hurt you, abandon you or let you down. Do you believe that? Then it’s time to receive.

God is always ready to pour out His goodness. He is no respecter of persons, but some people have more capacity to receive His goodness. That’s because they prepare for it more. They believe His Word, and act on His Word more. These people expect it more. They are receivers.

Anyone can be a receiver of His goodness. And we can all increase our capacity to receive. All it takes is our going from faith to faith. Hearing the Word, believing the Word, speaking the Word, acting on the Word—with each step, our capacity increases.

Renewing your mind, believing and receiving are all you need to taste the goodness of God in every single part of your life. It’s time to stop just watching others enjoy every morsel of His goodness, and start experiencing it for yourself. So, put a piece of God’s goodness on your plate, pick up a fork and dig in! Taste and see that the Lord is good!

Tithing 101: The Top 10 Bible Truths You Need to Know

Tithing 101

On the fence about tithing? Take this crash course in tithing and learn why these Bible truths can turn your financial situation around!

To tithe or not to tithe, gross or net, Old Covenant or New Covenant—the tithing debate rages on. Yet, like so many other biblical truths, there isn’t really a debate. You might say, “Well, I tried tithing, and it didn’t work.” But tithing isn’t something you try, it’s something you live.

Like anything else, God looks at the heart. One who puts a tithe in the bucket in a grudging manner and out of obligation is no better than the one who fights tooth and nail against giving God anything at all. If you want to live in the benefits of a tither, you’ve got to first become a real tither—one who gives continually, year after year, no matter the circumstances—with a tither’s heart.

If you’re already a tither, these truths will only strengthen your resolve. If you’re not, and you feel like you need to have revelation in this area to truly embrace the concept, these truths are for you, too.

No matter which way you slice it, tithers are blessed. The Bible is chock full of benefits, rights and privileges for tithers. You don’t want to miss them! You can live the life of a tither—a blessed life—with these top 10 Bible truths you need to know.

Discover 3 Tithers’ Rights Every Christian Should Know here.

1. The Tithe Is the First 10 Percent

“Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year.” –Deuteronomy 14:22 (NIV)

Wondering how to calculate your tithe? It’s easy! The tithe is the first 10 percent of your gross income—before any expenses or obligations, including taxes. How do we know? Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase” (NKJV). The dictionary defines firstfruits as “the first agricultural produce of a season, especially when given as an offering to God.” (See also Genesis 28:22; Leviticus 27:32; Hebrews 7:2, 4).

There’s something spiritually significant about giving God your first and best, rather than the leftovers. And it means something to Him, too. In Malachi 1:6-12, some of the priests at the Temple got a bright idea. Instead of offering unblemished animals as sacrifices to the Lord, they decided to make sacrificing more convenient and cost-effective. So, they began encouraging people to give their blind and lame animals, instead of the best of the bunch. The priests were giving God the leftovers instead of the first and best. In response, God said, “Where is My honor?… Where is my reverence?” (Malachi 1:6, NKJV). He viewed this as dishonoring to Him—and it was!

When God gave His first and only Son as a sacrifice for our sins, He gave His first and best. He deserves nothing less than the same from us.

2. The Tithe Belongs to God

“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.” –Matthew 22:21 (KJV)

Some people get real defensive when a pastor or minister talks about the tithe. “All they want is my money!” they’ll say. That kind of attitude comes from a spirit of fear and judgment, and it is outside the love walk. Most pastors are trying to help you understand the principle of tithing for your own benefit! But the real question isn’t about whether or not a pastor is trying to get your money—it’s whether you understand that the tithe belongs to God.

Is He really first in our lives? If He is, there won’t be such strong opposition to the idea of giving Him our first and best. Leviticus 27:30 says, “A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord” (NIV).

In other words, when you tithe, you aren’t giving your money to a pastor or a church—you’re giving it to God. Certainly, it’s important to be sure you are giving into good soil, but once you’ve made that determination, your heart should release the tithe into God’s hands.

If we don’t, there’s no way around it—we’re robbing God (Malachi 3:8). And, as Gloria Copeland says, “There’s no blessing in robbing God.”

3. We Present Our Tithes to Jesus

“Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he (Jesus) receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.” –Hebrews 7:8 (NKJV)

In the Old Covenant, the people would present their tithes to the high priest. Today, Jesus is our High Priest, so we present our tithes to Him (Hebrews 4:14-16). That’s why tithing isn’t about money—it’s about honor. We honor God with our tithe when we present our tithes to Jesus. How do we do this? First, we do it joyfully—we don’t murmur. Then, we make it a deliberate act of worship.

Gloria Copeland has shared how she and Kenneth present their tithe to the Lord each time:

“Ken and I, we take our tithe and we worship God. We do this at home. We pray and have Communion over our tithe. We worship God with our tithe. We say, ‘It is our privilege to tithe, and we love You, Lord, and we honor You and we thank You for everything You’ve given us.’”

Proverbs 3:9-10 says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth…then your barns will be filled to overflowing.” You know, it’s good to have barns, but it is better to have them filled to the top. So, every time you give, tithe and sow—present your tithe to the Lord with honor. That is the heart with which we increase; that is the heart with which we tithe.

4. We Give Our Tithes in Faith

“Without faith it is impossible to please him.” –Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

If you’re tithing in fear—fear that you won’t have enough left over, fear that you won’t be able to make ends meet, fear that you won’t get a return—you’re not tithing in faith. And if you’re not tithing in faith, you’re not eligible to receive the benefits.

So, don’t just tithe—tithe in faith! Do it believing that God will rebuke the devourer for your sake (Malachi 3:11) and that He’ll open the windows of heaven over your life (Malachi 3:10). If you aren’t tithing faithfully, your priorities are in the wrong place. Your priorities are in the natural realm instead of the spiritual realm. And it’s what’s in the spiritual realm that will bring you out of trouble and cause you to be abundantly blessed.

Faith says, “We’re going to tithe first, even if we don’t have groceries.” And faith knows God will take care of you in a supernatural way in the meantime.

5. We Tithe Using Words

“Take some of the firstfruits…. and say to the priest….”—Deuteronomy 26:2-3 (NIV)

If you approach tithing as a matter of the heart, rather than just bucket-plunking, you’ll not only begin to see it as an act of honor and worship, but an act of faith, as we just explored. Part of that act of faith is that we tithe using words of faith.

In the Old Covenant, God’s people would place their tithe—the firstfruits of their increase—in a basket, present it to the high priest, and say to him, “I declare today to the Lord your God that I have come to the land the Lord swore to our ancestors to give us” (Deuteronomy 26:3, NIV). They spoke their redemption.

Today, Jesus is our High Priest. When we present our tithe to Him, we should do so with our words, declaring tithing benefits and protections. Say out loud, “As I tithe, I believe the devourer is rebuked in my life, and the windows of heaven are opening up over every part of my life. As I give, it comes back to me, pressed down, shaken together and running over!”

6. Tithing Protects the Other 90 Percent

“I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground” –Malachi 3:11 (KJV)

“I can’t afford to tithe.” Have you ever heard or said these words? You may have even thought, When I can afford it, I’ll tithe. Some of you have been thinking that for 10 years, and you still don’t think you can afford it. Now, that ought to tell you something. The way you’re doing it is not working.

Here’s a simple truth about tithing: Give God what is His, and He will protect what is yours. As you honor God with the 10 percent that belongs to Him, He’ll get involved with the rest. The other 90 percent will go further than ever before because you’ve got the supernatural power of God involved with your finances.

The tithe from your income belongs to God, and it lays the foundation for your financial success and abundance. There is a protection plan that’s attached to the tithe. Everything we have is protected—our finances, our home, our goods.

Gloria Copeland says this: “If you’re not a tither, I guarantee you, you can look back in your life, and you can see where your fruit was destroyed, where your situation didn’t work out, where your job didn’t come to full fruition, where you weren’t able to do what you intended to do. That’s what happens to people who don’t tithe. What’s missing? THE BLESSING!”

Watch as Jerry Savelle teaches how sowing in famine is the key to financial breakthrough.

7. Tithing Is the Only Area God Says “Prove Me”

“Try it! Let me prove it to you!” –Malachi 3:10 (NLT-96)

This is God Himself speaking, and He is saying, “Prove Me in this.” This is the only time in the Bible where God instructs us to prove Him, and it is the one area where most people have withdrawn from proving God. He tells us the devourer will be rebuked, and the floodgates of blessing will open up over us (Malachi 3:10-11, NIV).

Does God mean tithe one week and see what happens? No. You’re not a tither if you give once or even for a year. It isn’t an experiment or a hobby—it’s a lifestyle. A tither is a tither from the heart. So, don’t just toss some money in a bucket and wait to see what happens—you try the Lord in this area with a tither’s heart. That is when harvest comes. And, as Jerry Savelle says, “If you’re not a sower [or a tither] you’re not entitled to a harvest.”

8. Tithing Is Our Covenant Connection

They have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions. That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies.” –Joshua 7:11-12 (NIV)

Refusing to tithe disconnects you from the covenant of blessing. When you tithe, you give God the legal right to intervene in your financial affairs, to bless you richly, and to defend you against the destruction the devil brings.

Don’t wait until your back is against the wall to start. Begin now. Meditate on the blessings God’s Word promises you as a tither. Learn to act on that Word now, and when Satan tries to put you in a financial corner, he’ll fail. Establish yourself on the covenant of God—then Satan will have no chance against you. God will rebuke him for your sake.

9. God Created the Tithe for Our Benefit

“Honor the Lord with your substance…so shall your barns be filled with plenty.” –Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV)

Tithing isn’t sowing—it’s giving back to God what belongs to Him. As a result, you will live in the overflow! That is the harvest. And a good harvester is a tither.

Tithing is the most foundational part of prosperity—that’s where it begins. God reinvests it back into us for our benefit. The tithe protects the harvest. You can’t sow unless you’re tithing—tithing comes first. The benefits are beyond anything you could ever imagine.

10. Tithing Opens the Door to THE BLESSING

“Then you….shall rejoice in all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household.” –Deuteronomy 26:11 (NIV)

Handling someone else’s money is the testing ground—the qualifier—for Kingdom promotion and being entrusted with true riches. This all begins with the proper handling of what belongs to God—the tithe. Tithing is the open door to THE BLESSING that God set forth that is going to meet your needs, bless you and keep you prosperous.

In Deuteronomy 28, God spoke to the Israelites about the curse and THE BLESSING. But just prior, in Deuteronomy 26, He talked to them about letting Him in on their finances—through the tithe. Why? Not because God needed the money, but because they needed help. They were going into the Promise Land where there were many challenges. So, He told them about tithing, the curse and THE BLESSING, in that order.

And you know, it’s still the same today. If you’ve been thinking I believe in tithing, but I just can’t afford it, you’re going backward. Because if you don’t let THE BLESSING in, the curse comes in.

This is Tithing 101! If you take these top 10 Bible truths and put them to work—let them become revelation to you—you will begin to see increase in your life. If you’ve been hesitant to walk in the life of a tither—take the plunge. Look up tithing scriptures and act on them. The very next paycheck you get—tithe! Then, buckle your seatbelt and get ready for an exciting journey to prosperity!
