Families of Detroit were REACHED with the LOVE OF GOD this Christmas!

This past October, the KCM Outreach Department was seeking the Lord on where to have The Christmas REACH event. KCM’s Minister of Evangelism, Riley Stephenson, discovered a video detailing the challenges the people of Detroit were having in getting assistance to repair, replace and rebuild after devastating storms in August that led to extreme flooding. As a city known for crime and a bad economy, Riley has had Detroit on his heart for years. Immediately, we knew that the Lord wanted this event to be hosted there to REACH Detroit with hope and blessings this Christmas.

Just last week, KCM partnered with Abundant Faith Cathedral in Detroit to bless more than 500 children with an AWESOME Christmas. Families that are still in recovery were able to come and Christmas shop for their children—for FREE! We are happy to report they were able to get three toys per child!

But it didn’t end there…not only will 500 children get to open presents on Christmas, but 161 people prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Praise God!

Thank you for your partnership with KCM. Your partnership makes outreaches like this possible. We hope you and your family have a BLESSED Christmas and a FRUITFUL 2015!

The REACH is an outreach of Kenneth Copeland Ministries that exists as an extension of KCM Disaster Relief. The purpose of The REACH is to go to a city after it has been affected by natural disasters, minister and meet needs, because people are still rebuilding and repairing ─ both physically and spiritually.

Hawaii Is Not Forgotten

For the first time in nearly 22 years, Hawaii was faced with the threat of not one, but two hurricanes, back-to-back, during the first week of August 2014 ─ Hurricanes Iselle and Julio. By the time both storms hit Hawaii on August 8 and 9, they had significantly weakened and were downgraded from hurricane to tropical storm status. Even so, as Tropical Storm Julio approached the southern and eastern regions of Hawaii’s Big Island, it was still packing 90 mph winds. The storms caused flash flooding, wind damage and downed trees, especially in the small, agricultural communities on the Big Island. After much prayer and consideration, the KCM Disaster Relief team decided to take a small, two-man crew and head to Hawaii’s Big Island to check on the 168 KCM Partners who call Hawaii home. The team’s main focus was to find the 57 Partners who live in the most affected regions. Although damage was not severe and no lives were lost, many people in these regions were without power and running water for weeks following the storm, causing them a great deal of personal loss. It is always a blessing for the Disaster Relief team to knock on the doors of our Partners’ homes, and it was amazing for these Partners all the way in Hawaii to know that KCM had not forgotten them ─ no matter where they were.

REACHING families with the LOVE of GOD in Tupelo, Mississippi

KCM’s Disaster Relief team just returned from Tupelo, Miss., where a tornado damaged much of the city on April 28, 2014. Immediately following the tornado, the team was on the scene, checking on Partners and providing assistance. Of course, complete recovery can take a long time—both physically and spiritually—so, when the team returned the last week of July 2014 to prepare for The REACH event, the signs of rebuilding were evident throughout the city.

In partnership with Feed the Children and Pastors Anthony and Dell Hatch of Faith Bible Church, the Kenneth Copeland Ministries Disaster Relief team returned to host the first back-to-school REACH event to provide families that are still rebuilding and recovering with groceries and household necessities, as well as backpacks filled with school supplies for their children.

THE REACH is an outreach of Kenneth Copeland Ministries with Riley Stephenson, KCM’s Minister of Evangelism. The mission of this outreach is to provide physical needs for families still recovering from disaster, along with meeting them where they are spiritually with encouragement, love and most importantly JESUS!

Four hundred families received THREE boxes of food and household necessities to fill their pantries. Eight hundred children received a FREE BACKPACK FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES.  But most importantly over 1,000 people attended the service and heard the WORD of the Lord and 101 PEOPLE RECEIVED JESUS as their personal Lord and Savior! Praise God!

Natural disaster can be devastating to people—even if they already know the Lord—but our hope is to leave everyone we meet with the love of the Father, a new hope for the future, and the assurance that they are not forgotten and that “JESUS IS LORD!” over any circumstance they face.

Together, we’re changing lives and making a REAL difference

Partnership in Action! KCM Disaster Relief Team Goes to Abilene

Check out this video to see your partnership in action!

On June 12, 2014, a large storm went through Abilene, Texas, dropping baseball-sized hail on the city for about 45 minutes. After the storm departed, the people of Abilene had a massive amount of cleanup to do. From destroyed roofs to extensive vehicle damage, the repairs will take time to complete. In the weeks following the storm, the Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ Disaster Relief team headed out to Abilene to find KCM partners, and provide prayers and assistance to complete their needed repairs.

KCM Disaster Relief Team is on the move!

The pastor at Faith Bible church  in Tupelo, Miss., arrived home one evening to discover they were about to be in the middle of a tornado. The only thing they had time to do was pray before the storm hit. Watch how they’re thanking God for their protection.

Late last month, several states were hit with destructive storms. In response, KCM began calling Partners in the affected areas to see how they were impacted. We learned that some had experienced loss due to the storms. Kenneth Copeland gave orders to the team, saying,  “Go, help my Partners.”  So, the Disaster Relief Team set out to first Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida and Alabama.

Last wandaweek, the KCM Disaster Relief Team continued its efforts to find and help partners affected by the recent storms in Pensacola, Fla. and they met Wanda. Wanda’s garage was flooded and had black mold now growing in her home. Wanda and her husband told the Lord that morning, “We don’t have insurance; we can’t afford the repairs, and we don’t know what to do!” As our team handed Wanda the money needed for the repairs, she broke down crying. “No, please give this money to someone who needs it more than me!” It was our joy to respond… “No, Wanda, the Lord had us bring this money for you. You’ve helped us help others at other times, and this is your time for the partners out there to help you back.”

Also in Pensacola, they met Lavern. LaVerne’s roof and front porch received significant damage from flooding. Due to the unsafe condition of her home, LaVerne sent her 11 year-old daughter to stay with a family member. “I had no idea how I was going to be able fix my roof. Thank you so much for enabling me to bring my daughter safely back home!”

10295344_750248998359841_5711837092671351276_oThe team met Donna, a KCM Partner, in Conway, Arkansas. She shared an amazing testimony of protection. Donna was at church before the tornado hit Arkansas.  Despite news of the approaching storm, Donna went home, made lunch and took a nap as usual. She was awakened by her daughter’s frantic call demanding that she come next door to the storm shelter. The  second Donna stepped into the storm shelter, the tornado hit both her and her daughter’s homes. After the storm had passed Donna and her daughter emerged to see what was damaged. Over 100 trees on  Donna’s property had been destroyed. The debris was so massive that for an entire day she couldn’t see her home, or make it through the trees to even see if she still had a home. When she was finally able to  make it through, she discovered her home was still standing! Donna said, “If you put your trust in Him, there is nothing He won’t get you through. It doesn’t matter what I lost, God will take care of me, and restore everything better than before.” Now that’s faith!

Screen Shot 2014-05-07 at 10.09.23 AM When the team traveled to Quapaw, Oklahoma, they found David and his wife. As the center of the tornado touched down in their backyard, all David had time to do was say, “Peace, be still!” His wife saw the roof begin to lift off the house and    instantly, “the angels just set it back down” and the storm stopped. Every house surrounding theirs was completely destroyed, except for their home.

Also in Quapaw, they met Carlene, an 81-year-old woman with a powerful testimony. As the tornado hit Carlene’s home, the wind threw the sofa on top of her. The brick walls of the home collapsed onto the  sofa,  which kept Carlene from being crushed. When the storm passed, her home and neighborhood were completely destroyed. Carlene said she was not afraid because she knew, “God was bigger than any    storm.”

Please continue to keep those affected by these storms  in your prayers.

400 Families – TOUCHED by Jesus this Resurrection Season!

In September 2013, devastating flooding hit Colorado. It began September 9 and by the 15th, record breaking rainfall had caused flooding in 17 counties. Nineteen thousand homes were damaged and 1500 homes were destroyed.

Immediately following the flooding, the Kenneth Copeland Ministries Disaster Relief team was on the scene, checking on Partners and providing assistance. Of course, complete recovery can take a long time—both physically and spiritually—so, on April 12, 2014, the KCM Disaster Relief team returned to Longmont, Colo., to host THE REACH in partnership with Feed The Children and Pastors Mark and Patty Spencer of Christ Church International.

THE REACH is an outreach of Kenneth Copeland Ministries with Riley Stephenson, KCM’s Minister of Evangelism. The mission of this outreach is to provide physical needs for families still recovering from disaster, along with meeting them where they are at spiritually with encouragement, love and most importantly JESUS!
