Seven Warnings to the Nations

People all over the world are watching, thinking and wondering, How will the nations against Israel respond to the ongoing conflict? Many are afraid, many are joining in with the antisemitic notions of the nations that oppose Israel, and many are simply ignorant of the times. But there are those who are not a part of the many. They are praying and standing with Israel. They know that the Lord has been very specific in His stance concerning the nation of Israel. They know that for those who oppose Israel, things will not go well because the Lord Himself has issued severe, stern warnings to these nations.

Warning # 1: Israel Is In Covenant With God

“Remember his covenant forever—the commitment he made to a thousand generations. This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant: ‘I will give you the land of Canaan as your special possession’” (1 Chronicles 16:15-18).

The nations that stand against Israel need to be keenly aware that Israel is in covenant with God. The covenant between the nation of Israel and God is an everlasting covenant. That means it has no ending. Thus, it is an exercise in futility to think that you can fight Israel and win. God’s promise will be fulfilled. The land was given by Him and will not be taken away!

Warning # 2: The Jews Are God’s People

“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel. I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth! And I will provide a homeland for my people Israel, planting them in a secure place where they will never be disturbed. Evil nations won’t oppress them as they’ve done in the past, starting from the time I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies.’ Furthermore, the Lord declares that he will make a house for you—a dynasty of kings!” (2 Samuel 7:8-11).

Israel has always been the apple of God’s eye (Zechariah 2:8). In 2 Samuel, He promised His people, Israel, that He would plant them in a place of their own so they would not have to move anymore, and that is exactly what He did. “And I’m going to set aside a place for my people Israel and plant them there so they’ll have their own home and not be knocked around any more nor will evil men afflict you as they always have” 2 Samuel 7:10 (MSG). In Hebrew, the phrasing involving ‘their own home’ refers to a house that is a royal dynasty. The people of Israel are a royal dynasty because they are God’s people. He calls them His people!

Warning # 3: The Lord Is a Man of War

“Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD: ‘I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him! The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is his name!’” (Exodus 15:1-3).

When the Chumash discusses God being a man of war it says, “God is the Master of War. He uses His name to do battle.” His name alone is what engages the battle. Therefore, if you engage in battle with God’s people, you are going to automatically be at war with God. If you are Israel, the people He repeatedly calls His, then you have automatically qualified yourself as an enemy of God. “The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies” (Isaiah 42:13, NKJV).

Warning # 4: The Lord Is Mighty In Battle

“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of Hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah” (Psalm 24:7-10, NKJV).

The Lord is the Lord of angel armies (2 Kings 6:15-17). The world is going to see the Lord’s armies going to battle for Israel. Bombs will be returned to senders and supernatural happenings will continue to be reported as they have always been reported alongside Israel. Israel will win. Nations who attack Israel, be warned! Remember the Egyptian army of old that followed Israel into the Red Sea? Their story is recorded in history. The Lord demonstrated His superiority in battle and His wrath against those who oppressed His people!

Warning # 5: God Is Israel’s Shield

“LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in God.’ Selah. But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah” (Psalm 3:1-8, NKJV).

Israel is facing an impossible situation as they face the potential of being attacked on several fronts—but God! He is their shield. He is their defense. He places a circle of protection around them as He and His angels surround them. The Lord will sustain them as they face these battles. He will be their strength! “The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving” (Psalm 28:7).

The IDF is known for worshipping God as they go into battle. They consistently see the miraculous in operation over them and on their behalf. The same forces are at work for the hostages who are still in captivity. The Lord continues to say, just as He said through Moses, “Let My people go!”

Warning # 6: The Nations Are Nothing to God

“Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket and are counted as small dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the isles like a very little thing. And all Lebanon’s [forests] cannot supply sufficient fuel, nor all its wild beasts furnish victims enough to burn sacrifices [worthy of the Lord]. All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are regarded by Him as less than nothing and emptiness (waste, futility, and worthlessness)” (Isaiah 40:15-17, AMPC).

Unless a nation has declared God as their Lord, He counts them as worthless. Rulers are taking counsel together and discussing how to attack Israel. They are saying death to Israel and the United States of America, but Jesus is Lord over these nations. People are standing for Israel because God sits in heaven laughing at all the protests against Israel.

“All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you” (Isaiah 41:11-13, NIV).

Warning # 7: God Will Give Israel the Victory

“When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid…. When you prepare for battle, the priest must come forward to speak to the troops. He will say to them, ‘Listen to me, all you men of Israel! Do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart or panic or tremble before them. For your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and He will give you victory!” (Deuteronomy 20:1-4).

God will fight with Israel, and will have the victory! There is no question about their future! We know because He has already declared His plans. “The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!” (Deuteronomy 28:7). Watch and see the Lord’s plan unveiled!

BE WARNED!

The Word indicates that God sits in heaven with supreme contempt, mocking the nations that oppose His chosen ones (Psalm 2:1-4). Therefore, nations, beware that if you fight against Israel, the covenant is very clear.

“I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:3).

“But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you” (Exodus 23:22).
