Have you ever had something stolen? It’s not just the inconvenience of trying to get the item back or replaced, but it’s also the sense of violation you experience. Some Americans believe that their vote was stolen in the 2020 election; and as a result, they may feel discouraged, even to the point of being deterred from voting in the 2024 election. That is exactly what the devil would like for you to do—not vote. However, casting your vote in any election is not only your God-given right, but it is also your constitutional responsibility, and doing so ensures that righteousness continues for future generations. Learn four things that will ensure that your vote is counted for righteousness in the 2024 election below.
1. You’re Responsible for Your Vote
Every time you vote, you should do so with a strong purpose, recognizing that you are a citizen of the United States of America. Voting is a constitutional responsibility. God has called you to let your voice be heard in this nation, allowing those who are godly to govern in righteousness. Believers who cast their vote do so in obedience to God.
According to Dr. George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, 32 million Christians who are regular churchgoers are projected to abstain from voting in the 2024 election.
When you choose to not vote, you are not allowing your voice to be heard. The Lord spoke through Kenneth Copeland, saying, “I will, saith The LORD, hold you responsible for voting for whom I tell you to vote. You can’t get out of it by not voting. I will hold you responsible for voting for the wrong one if you do that.” When you choose to vote, you are demonstrating that you understand that you’re responsible for your vote.
2. Your Vote Is Your Seed
Voting is more of a spiritual act than you would think. Your ballot is your seed. Seed sown will produce a harvest after its own kind (Galatians 6:7, NKJV).
When you enter the voting booth, you are sowing seed to bring a godly harvest to our nation. Speak protection over the integrity of your vote and tell the Lord you are ensuring the future of your grandchildren. And don’t forget your tither’s rights according to Malachi 3:11 (KJV): “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Remember, all corruption is rooted in the spirit realm. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil….” The love of money is at the root of the abortion issue, the border crisis, COVID and vaccinations. There are politicians who are only thinking about money. There are also politicians who love God, and, with pure hearts before Him, desire to do what is right. Your vote for those politicians who will do what is right is your seed and will produce a harvest of righteousness.
3. Choose Able Men When You Vote
God’s Word talks about how to choose the kind of leader who will do what is right. God’s Word and our Founding Fathers laid the foundation for the election process and what a strong leader looks like in our country. “Moreover, you shall elect from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens” Exodus 18:21 (NKJV). You have the ability with your vote to choose able men who will uphold godly standards in our nation.
4. Pray In the Spirit Over Your Vote
If you are still concerned about the corruption in the voting process, remember you have the ability to pray in the spirit over any situation. God promises that He will bring the truth into the light. “For there is nothing hidden that shall not be disclosed, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come out into the open” Luke 8:17 (AMPC). God will use you in prayer to begin the process of revealing things. No one knows exactly how the truth will come out into the open, but if God promised it, you can trust He will do it. When you pray in the spirit over your vote, you are accessing the wisdom and the counsel of the Holy Spirit; you are praying out the perfect will of God for the nation.
God needs your voice, your seed and your authority in operation in the earth. You are going to vote, and your vote is going to count!
When you enter the voting booth, you can pray this voting prayer in faith, believing that the goodness of God will be revealed in this election and the devil will not steal your vote!
Voter Prayer & Confession
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I come before You today in this holy place. I thank You for the honor and privilege of voting in this election. I declare that the United States of America is a godly and righteous nation. I pray over every person on the ballot to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
I cast my vote for leaders who will best represent the standards of God’s Word. I cast my vote on behalf of future generations. I cast my vote on behalf of my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I cast my vote on behalf of children yet to be born—those who are still in the womb. They will not be aborted but will live out their lives and fulfill Your will.
I am a tither, and the devil cannot rob my vote. The devourer is rebuked. I believe my vote is uncorrupted. It will arrive safely at its intended destination. I release my faith today that Jesus is Lord over the United States of America! To download the Voter Prayer & Confession and to access election resources by state, click HERE.
