Huge wildfires, set by Palestinian terrorists, are raging around Jerusalem. Abnormally high winds have complicated the situation, reigniting fires that were extinguished. Multiple roads have been closed with drivers and passengers abandoning their vehicles and fleeing on foot. Several communities have been evacuated while firefighters and emergency services work to contain the blaze. The IDF has been called in for assistance as well as requests made for help from the international community. Israel’s defense minister says the country is “in a time of national emergency.”
Our Covenant brothers are still surrounded by violent clashes at every border, as well as combating terrorists within. Israeli hostages are being unmercifully held in brutal conditions, and most of the world continues their vile hatred for God’s first chosen people. It is our calling and privilege to pray for their deliverance from all the work of the enemy. Only He knows how to do it, and His promise is that He will!
