Sergio Alvarado grew up among poverty and drugs in Juárez, Mexico. Now, his own ministry is located there, impacting children and feeding them through support from KCM Partners through twice-sown seed.
Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created. —Psalm 119:90
Sergio Alvarado worked for Kenneth Copeland Ministries for nearly two decades. For much of that time, he would spend his weekends driving to his hometown of Juárez, Mexico, feeding children and preaching the gospel. Alvarado learned from Brother Copeland what it looks like to be a giver. He has walked that out by sowing time, money and resources to minister the gospel to the destitute.
For years, Alvarado would get off work at KCM on Thursday evening then drive for about five hours; he would park his vehicle and sleep at a truck stop, then continue to Juárez, arriving on Friday. He would load up his truck with burritos, sodas and other goodies, then go where hungry children were and feed them while preaching the gospel.
He did this faithfully for 12 years, but he knew God had a plan for something more. Said Alvarado, “One day, God spoke to me, and He said, I want you to set roots there.”

God Is Faithful
As time went by, the Lord began revealing what He wanted that to look like. “For 12 years, nothing was happening in the natural,” said Alvarado. “But I knew God was faithful; and I knew that I knew that I knew that God wanted to do something.”
Because of the Lord’s faithfulness, and Alvardo’s faithfulness to believe what He said, the Lord began opening doors. Alvarado was able to purchase land to start creating a safe haven for the kids and youth of that area.
Today, they have:
- a church that can hold up to 280 people
- a dining room that feeds an average of 100 children each day
- a day care center
- a school that teaches computer skills, reading and writing
- opportunities to learn sewing for women and welding for young men
- a game room where young people can enjoy things like foosball and air hockey.
“All of that is free of charge,” said Alvarado. “God has been faithful. I tell people, when you know that God has called you to do something, do not give up. Like I said, for 12 years, I didn’t see anything. But God was working behind the scenes.
Alvarado wants to thank all the Partners of the ministry. “This is how I see it,” he said. “We are an extension of KCM in Juárez.” Partner, because of your faithfulness in giving, you’re right there with Alvarado’s team, impacting the children of Mexico.
