Putting Action to Their Faith – A Couple’s Story of a Debt-Free Home

One of the many things Chris Eberhardt has learned from the teachings of Kenneth Copeland is the message of Romans 13:8 – “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another.” Since Eberhardt saw it in the Bible, he made up his mind and determined in his heart that he was going to live that way.

For years, he and his wife, Sara, had talked about what they were going to do when it came to buying a house. They’d talk about it…but didn’t make actual plans.

They didn’t put action to their faith.

One day, Chris felt the Lord speak to his heart, The same way Brother Copeland broke a barrier for ministries by believing for an [air]plane for his ministry, I need somebody who will believe Me for a debt-free home, to break that barrier, and to show My people I can get them a house debt-free. Then the Lord asked Chris a question: Would you do it for Me?

With faith in his heart, Chris said, “Yes, Lord, I’ll do it.”

Faith Leads to Action

The Eberhardts knew they needed to put action to their faith. At the time, the only thing they knew to do was to open a new banking account, which they called their “house account.” The next faith step they took was to begin arranging their budget so they could put money in the account from every single paycheck.

Inheritance Received

Sara had an uncle who lived a very frugal lifestyle; when he passed away, Sara’s father decided he wanted to bless the Eberhardts with the majority of the inheritance he received, with the intent of it going toward their debt-free house.

When they moved into their new home, not only was it debt-free, but all the bedrooms had been redone with brand new carpet and freshly painted walls. “It was like the Lord putting icing on the cake saying, This was Me, stated Chris.

Partnership Exchange

The Eberhardts have been faithful Partners with Kenneth Copeland Ministries for many years; as a result, any time something comes up in their life, they’re able to confidently say, “We’re Partners [with KCM].” They understand the anointing exchange they’re connected to. Sara echoed the sentiment by adding, “I believe it has enriched our lives. There’s no way we would have a debt-free home if we weren’t a part of KCM. I truly believe that our life is so much richer [by] being a part of KCM.”
