September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM) has resources available to help you or a loved one who may be struggling in this area.
Since 1993, Dean Sikes has been on the road communicating in high schools, Teen Challenge Centers, churches, and prisons across America and in nations around the world. His ministry is called YouMatter, and his message is simple: “You were created on purpose, with a purpose, for a purpose.”
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7, NKJV).
Everything we do in life begins with a thought. Thoughts become words, and words become actions. When it comes to suicide prevention, the fight begins with the mind.
Everywhere Sikes goes, he invites teenagers to sign an “I Matter” pledge, which says they choose to live and not end their lives. To date, YouMatter has had over 100,000 students sign the pledge, and they have been able to stop over 150,000 suicides from happening.
All because they were offered the hope found in Jesus.
KCM is honored to help financially support the ministry efforts that Dean Sikes and his team do around the globe.

Freedom From Depression
In our modern culture, you don’t have to look very far to hear mention of the word “depression.” Maybe you’re in that space yourself, which makes you feel hopeless. There is good news: You can live free from the heavy weight of depression. For many years before he was taught the Word of God, Kenneth Copeland struggled in this area. While he didn’t struggle with areas of suicide prevention, he had to learn to walk in freedom from depression. His testimony proves you can too!
Healing School
Hella Malawar is a KCM Partner who knows firsthand the feelings of hopelessness and despair that come with depression, fear, and thoughts of suicide. However, a loved one shared with Malawar the hope she could find in Jesus. She surrendered her life to Him, and her life began to change.
KCM’s Healing School became a significant resource that helped her as she learned to let the Word of God be her anchor on her journey to wholeness.
Speak the Word of God
Jesus paid the price for you to overcome every sorrow when He died on the cross and rose again. That doesn’t mean you won’t face sadness and disappointment, but it does mean that He made it so you don’t have to succumb to them. You can stand firm in faith.
Jesus illustrated in Mark 11:12-14, 20-24 that our words have the power to influence. We can speak to situations and believe our words will have an impact. One way we can put this into practice is by speaking the Word of God concerning depression.
Remember, everything we do in life begins with a thought. Thoughts become words, and words become actions. Put the Word of God to work in your life by reading it, believing it, and speaking it so that the hope of Jesus can be an anchor for your soul.
