Word of The LORD Through Pastor George Pearsons for 2024

On Jan. 12, Pastor George Pearsons shared a word of The LORD for Kenneth Copeland Ministries, KCBC®, VICTORY Channel® and Eagle Mountain International Church. He described this word as a ‘dividing line’ and stressed its importance for all of us for 2024. Reiterating the priority this should be given as we enter a season of fasting in February, he shared an excerpt from it on Sunday, Jan. 14. Watch the excerpt here:

This is a transcript of the entire word of The LORD, released Jan. 12:

Word of The LORD Through Pastor George Pearsons
KCBC Winter Symposium
Friday, Jan. 12, 2024
This is The LORD speaking:

You’ve experienced a level of prosperity. You’ve been taught, trained. You know it’s there. But now, this night, we are stepping over into a new dimension of the prosperous life, a life that is beyond what we have ever seen or experienced or have known of.

There are so many ways that I have to get to you what you need to have in order to not only supply your household, but even more. And beyond that, how to supply My projects and My vision in the Body of Christ. You will get to the place where you will pay for it all.

“Lord, how much do You want us to give? Do You want us to pay for the whole thing?”

Those days are coming if you will believe it and not be limited nor limit the Holy One of Israel in where He wants to take you, and what He wants you to experience in Him of a provision that we have not seen before. I am the Source of all. And I’ll get it to you.

But you need to release your faith. Sow toward it and release your faith, and sow toward it and receive. Release your faith, sow toward it and receive. Release your faith and sow toward it and receive.

Millionaires are coming up out of this congregation. Billionaires—stepping on over into the billion flow, to where to pay for something like this doesn’t even put a dent into the reserve. Do you dare believe that? Do you dare receive that? Do you dare believe that I can do that in your life?

There is wealth transfer that is to be had. And you need to be calling it in. You need to call it in because there is wicked money, there is evil money that is being used for evil purposes that I want transferred into the Body of Christ to get done what I want done in the earth.

But I’m looking for a people who are bold to lay hold of what rightfully belongs to them; to possess their land of provision and to not be shy about it, but to be bold about it. To take hold of it; to take it and receive it and then sow it. Take it, receive it and sow it. Take it, receive it and sow it.

And we will see a mighty momentum of that flood of finances and that flood of provision. And it is growing and it is starting a new realm and a new place tonight. Tonight.

Now this is Pastor George speaking.

“I am saying to my congregation right now:

“You are prosperous people, and you are becoming more and more prosperous every day.

“The LORD is opening up to you—those who are tithers—the windows of heaven and is pouring out a BLESSING that you cannot contain.

And the devourer is rebuked in your lives. And nations, nations will call you BLESSED.

“Israel is calling us BLESSED. Why? Because of our Love for them, but also because of the provision that we are sending over there. Money talks. It speaks.

And I am looking for those millions of dollars that have been hoarded up in reservoirs to be released in this hour, to be released to the people of God; to be released to Eagle Mountain International Church; to be released to Kenneth Copeland Ministries; to be released to Kenneth Copeland Bible College; to be released to VICTORY Channel.

To be released to all of our offices all over the world—that is being tapped and released and being drained into the kingdom of God for such a time as this and for such a purpose as this.

There is much to do. There is much to be done.

Now this is The LORD saying:

I will provide it. I will supply it. Don’t be moved by big numbers.

You see yourself moving the big numbers. You see it being moved into these areas.

So tonight, as you give, know that you are prospering beyond your imagination.

Beyond—beyond what you could ever ask or think or dream or pray. I will do for you exceeding, abundantly beyond that.

And one more thing from Pastor George:

“So when we look at projects like this, we say, ‘LORD, do You want us to pay the whole thing? Do You want us to pay that off?’ And the dollar amount that’s left, The LORD has it. And He’ll get it to Sister Billye. And He’ll use us, and He’ll use others to sow into it and see the completion of it.

“That vision of the Migdal Arbel Israel Prayer and Study Center has been around for a long time. It has tarried. But now there is momentum that we have seen tonight.

“And it’ll go from concrete to beautiful walls and furnishings, pools of water, grass of green, flowers to beautify. And it will be a shining light to the people there of the goodness of their God. And it will be a shining light and an inspiration to others in ministry who are believing to receive the fulfillment of the vision.

“They’ve written the plan on tables so that others can run with it.

“I am speaking—THE BLESSING of Abraham is upon us. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law so that we can walk in THE BLESSING of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14).”

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of The LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that The LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of The LORD your God: “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks” (Deuteronomy 28:1-4, NKJV).

“Abraham was a rich, rich man in flocks and herds and silver and gold (Genesis 13:2).

“THE BLESSING of Abraham is upon us.”

Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The LORD will command THE BLESSING on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which The LORD your God is giving you. (Deuteronomy 28:5-8, NKJV).

“Say, ‘I have storehouses. I have reserves. I have savings, ready to tap at a moment’s notice.’”

“It says in Proverbs 10:22, “THE BLESSING of The LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Rich is not a dirty word. Rich is a biblical word.

“And you, congregation, are BLESSED and you are rich. Say, ‘I am rich. I am rich. I am rich.’ The world and other Christians would not hear of that.”

But The LORD is saying to us:

You are being taught how to handle riches so that riches don’t handle you. There is a difference between the godly rich and the evil rich. There’s a big difference.

Pastor George is sharing:

“And I’m speaking it over this congregation tonight. ‘You are rich. You are rich. Your household—you are rich.’ I said, ‘You are rich. You are rich.’

“He is teaching you how to prosper. You are rich and you are growing. You are growing in wealth in the same way that Isaac did—reaping a hundredfold in the same year as a drought (Genesis 26:12). You are reaping that hundredfold return. You are sowers.

“You are sowers. And you are reapers.

“Now you have seed in the ground. You have sown into this good soil. And you are reaping the hundredfold return.”

“So ‘The LORD will command THE BLESSING on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which The LORD your God is giving you.’ (Deuteronomy 28:8, NKJV).

“Inventions are coming out of this congregation. Innovations are coming out of this congregation. There are things, businesses that are growing out of this congregation that will bring multitudes into the kingdom of God and will be a BLESSING to mankind—a BLESSING to mankind.

“He shall BLESS you in the land which The LORD has given to you.”

“I wrote this off to the side in my Bible from the Chumash: The land produces so much that they don’t have to travel to make their fortune.

The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of The LORD your God and walk in His ways. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of The LORD, and they shall be afraid of you. And The LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which The LORD swore to your fathers to give you. (verses 9-11, NKJV).

“I stand on this scripture for this ministry, for this church, for the entire entity that we’re sitting on here right now. I stand on the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition translation of verse 11 that says, ‘The Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity.’

“Say, ‘I have a surplus of prosperity…He will make you have a surplus of prosperity, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your cattle, in the fruit of your ground, in the land which The LORD swore unto thy fathers to give you. The LORD shall open unto you His good treasure’ (verses 11-12).

“The New Living Translation says, ‘His rich treasury.’ The Message translation says, ‘sky vaults’ of heaven.

‘“My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:19, NKJV). His riches in glory. His riches in glory. Rich is not a bad word. His riches in glory. It is a Bible word. His riches in glory. It is a godly word. His riches in glory.

“Women, read Proverbs 31 and read it in different translations. See yourself as the Proverbs 31 woman who is involved in all of the different worlds out there: buying, selling, innovating, growing.

“Men, see yourselves like the Apostle Paul. King Agrippa kept him around. They were wanting a bribe. They were wanting to get some money from him.

“He wasn’t a poor man. He was wealthy as were many of these characters that we read about. So why not you? Why not you? Why not see yourself on another financial realm?

“Why not see yourself in a realm of giving like you have not seen yourself in a realm of giving before? We’re going there. We’re going there.

“And I’m saying this night, it’s happening. It’s happening in this atmosphere of the provision of God.

“He’ll open His good treasure to us, the heavens, to give the rain unto our land in His season, to BLESS all the work of your hand (Deuteronomy 28:12).

“In Jesus’ Name, devil, you will not devour us with this weather in the Name of Jesus. You will not freeze us out in Jesus’ Name. We take our authority over it right now. You will not interrupt this Ministers’ Conference coming up. You will not shut down church. You’ve tried it once. You’re not going to do it again.

“The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to BLESS all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And The LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of The LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them” (verses 12-13, NKJV).

“I declare you, ‘Debt free.’ I declare you, ‘Debt free. Every congregation member of Eagle Mountain International Church is debt free. Every Partner of Kenneth Copeland Ministries is debt free. Every partner with Billye Brim Ministries is debt free. Debt free, in Jesus’ Name.’

“So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them” (verse 14, NKJV).

“So there you have it. Start meditating on these things and see yourself breaking through whatever poverty mentality that you have grown up with or where you’ve been convinced you cannot go any further.

“No, you continue to meditate on these things and allow them to grow in you so when it comes time to receive an offering like this, it’s an offering that’s exceeding abundantly beyond what the speaker could ever imagine. This church has done it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

“And now it’s time for every individual. Every one of you. Every one of you. ‘But Pastor, you don’t know.’ Every one of you. ‘But Pastor, you don’t realize.’ Every one of you. ‘But Pastor, my background.’ Every one of you. Every one of you. Say, ‘That’s me. He’s talking about me. I am rich. I am BLESSED. I’m a giver. I’m a cheerful giver.’ In Jesus’ Name.”

How Are You Living a Life of Faith?

Every now and then, to maintain optimal spiritual health, we need to give ourselves a faith checkup. We need to pause and examine our hearts, consider what we’re thinking and what we’re saying, and then evaluate how we’re approaching that for which God wants us to believe. Whatever we’re walking through, God wants us strong. He wants us to stand in faith, declaring the end from the beginning and watching His Word work in our lives. And yet, admittedly, we all experience life events from time to time that challenge our strength, our faith and our practice of consistently walking in that faith.

To help you stay strong and answer the ultimate question, “How Are You Living a Life of Faith?” consider the following five fundamentals of faith to help you with your faith checkup. Each one is an essential step to living a life of faith, and when we walk them out consistently, we’ll see the results we want.

1. Believe in your heart.

“Then Jesus said to the disciples, ‘Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, “May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,” and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”’ –Mark 11:22-25

This is where Jesus put forth the absolute law of faith. It’s His classic teaching on faith. When He said, “and have no doubt in your heart,” He was referring to our inner man—the part of us that Peter called the hidden man of the heart (1 Peter 3:4, KJV).

When we desire something then pray, our belief comes from our hearts. How important it is then that we guard our hearts, because they determine the course of our lives (Proverbs 4:23). Notice that Jesus said we must forgive before we pray. “When you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against.” Pay attention to whom the Holy Spirit brings to your mind. Go ahead and forgive them now so the unforgiveness in your heart doesn’t interfere with the working of your faith. You see, faith won’t work in an unbelieving heart.

2. Say it with your mouth.

“We continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, ‘I believed in God, so I spoke’.” –2 Corinthians 4:13

In the King James Version, Mark 11:23-24 reads, “…but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you….” Did you catch how many times saith or say is used? Jesus told us to believe once, and then He repeated “say” three more times. He was telling us how to exercise our faith. First, say what it is we believe in our hearts, and then we keep saying it as long as it takes to see the physical reality of what we’re saying. When we put words to our faith, we’re declaring, “It’s mine,” about whatever it is for which we’re believing. It’s important that this is not after we see it. It’s not after we feel it or after we wander around wondering about it for two or three years!

God wants us to find the answer to our prayers in the Word before we ever pray the prayer of faith—and then He wants us to consistently believe it and declare it. All the promises of God are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20); therefore, we can stand on His promises and have what we say. Like the psalmist said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.”

3. Receive it by faith.

“You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” –Matthew 21:22

We must receive what we’re believing God for and what we’re speaking into existence by faith. When Kenneth Hagin was standing in faith, standing on God’s Word, and speaking and declaring health over his body, he was known to say, “I receive. I feel good. I feel fine. Body, you get in line.” What a great confession to make when you’re releasing your faith for your healing, wholeness and divine health!

In Mark 5, this is what one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus, did, and it is what the woman with the issue of blood did. When Jairus went to Jesus, he fell at Jesus’ feet and pleaded fervently with Jesus saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live” (Mark 5:23, NKJV). Notice his faith statement: “She will live.”

So Jesus went with Jairus, but on their way to Jairus’ house, the woman with the issue of blood interrupted their journey with her faith. “And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole” (verses 25-28, KJV). Did you notice her faith statement? “I shall be whole.”

Both Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood received what they wanted by faith. They believed it and they spoke it. They declared it. Can you imagine if Jairus had stepped out of faith and became offended with the woman with the issue of blood for slowing them down? Or if he had taken offense at Jesus for stopping to see who touched Him and received power from Him? He would have had unforgiveness in his heart, which blocks faith. With his daughter’s life hanging in the balance, it was essential that Jairus stay in faith—and stay in a place of receiving by faith.

After the woman with the issue of blood was made whole, Jesus went on to Jairus’ house. On their way, they were told that Jairus’ daughter was dead. It appeared they were arriving too late. Thank God; with Jesus, it’s never too late!

Jesus’ response to what looked like a hopeless situation was to say to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith” (verse 36). Always remember to stop the fear; embrace faith and you’ll receive what you’re believing for.

Jairus had already said all that he was going to say. He had said, “She will live.” That’s where his faith was, and that was where it had to stay. When Jesus reached Jairus’ daughter, He said, “The child isn’t dead; she’s only asleep…. Little girl, get up!” (verses 39, 41). Then, she did! In the same way, the woman with the issue of blood declared her faith, acted in accordance with it and then was healed. Jairus said it, he did it, and his daughter was healed. Now it’s our turn.

4. Speak to things that do not exist as though they do.

“(As it is written, ‘I have made you a father of many nations’) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.” –Romans 4:17 (NKJV)

God wants us to call things as they should be, not how they are. Otherwise, things will just stay as they are. When we declare the truth of God’s Word about our lives rather than the physical reality, it releases our faith, and our faith produces the result. Speak to the mountain in your life. Command it to be thrown into the sea and watch what happens!

5. Apply corresponding action.

“So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless…. Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: ‘Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.’ He was even called the friend of God. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.” –James 2:17, 21-24

Faith without works is dead. Faith without corresponding action doesn’t yield the results we’re believing for. What is it that you want to see come to pass? Be sure your faith and your actions are working together because actions make our faith complete.

So, How Are You Living a Life of Faith? If you’re practicing these five fundamentals of faith and renewing your mind—and speech—with the Word of God, then you’re on the right track. Keep believing God and His Word. Keep declaring His Word over your situation, calling those things that do not exist as though they do! Never be moved by what you see or feel, but instead, only be moved by what you believe you receive based on the Word of God. Finally, remember, our faith and actions are only complete when they work together. After you perform this faith checkup, you will be ready for all that 2024 has for you, and you will face it all with a heart full of faith!

Raise Your Standard—The Secret To Living 120 Years

God originally designed the human body—starting with Adam and Eve—to live forever. He never meant for us to die. He never intended for us to enjoy just a few decades of life on this earth then call it a day. God’s master plan has always been for us to live in His goodness and blessing forever, enjoying life without stress or strain. Even after the Fall of mankind, generations lived nearly a thousand years on average, and yet, today we seem to be willing to settle for far less. In the United States, for example, the average life expectancy is approximately 76 years…the average in the entire world is even less—approximately 71 years. Based on this, we tend to think if we make it to 70 or 80 years old, we’ve lived a good life. But when God gave us His resurrection life (Romans 8:11), He had for more in mind for us than just 70 or 80 years!

In Psalm 90, Moses is recorded as having interceded on behalf of the people of Israel who were aging and dying off much sooner than they should have. He said to God, “You spread out our sins before you—our secret sins—and you see them all. We live our lives beneath your wrath, ending our years with a groan. Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away” (verses 8-10).

What’s more, a footnote to Psalm 90 in the AMPC says, “This psalm is credited to Moses, who is interceding with God to remove the curse which made it necessary for every Israelite over twenty years of age (when they rebelled against God at Kadesh-barnea) to die before reaching the promised land (Numbers 14:26-35). Moses says most of them are dying at seventy years of age. This number has often been mistaken as a set span of life for all mankind. It was not intended to refer to anyone except those Israelites under the curse during that particular forty years. Seventy years has never been the average span of life for humanity. When Jacob, the father of the twelve tribes, had reached 130 years (Genesis 47:9), he complained that he had not attained to the years of his immediate ancestors. In fact, Moses himself lived to be 120 years old, Aaron 123, Miriam several years older, and Joshua 110 years of age. Note as well that in the Millennium a person dying at 100 will still be thought a child (Isaiah 65:20).”

It’s important to understand that Moses was quite clear as to why this misery and early onset of death was happening to God’s own chosen people, to the ones who were supposed to be living the blessed life—and a long and satisfying one, at that. The reason was sin.

As born-again believers and followers of Christ, we can be confident that our sins are no longer set before God. They have been washed away by the redeeming blood of Jesus. We no longer have to fear “passing away in God’s wrath” as the Israelites once did. We have been saved from His wrath (Romans 5:9). Therefore, the lifespan of 70 years—or at best, 80—that Moses referred to does not apply to us.

What good news! It should be no surprise that God views our aging differently than we typically do, and certainly a lot differently than our modern culture does. The world glorifies physical youth and covets the strength and beauty of youth far more than the wisdom, maturity and experience that can come with age. Our society tends to dread old age rather than embrace and respect it.

Consequently, too many Christians are of the world’s mindset and do not expect more of God’s blessings as they grow older. Like everyone else, they anticipate decline in their later years and are willing to lie down and allow the devil to run all over them—where their physical and mental health are concerned, where their spiritual impact is concerned, and where their safety, strength and length of days are concerned.

Time To Throw Off the Limits

It’s time for us to change our perspective. Proverbs 23:7 tells us, “For as [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he” (AMPC). If we are going to live long and strong with the full number of days God intended, the first thing we must do is straighten out our thinking. We must adjust our thoughts and actions to agree with God’s Word and align our expectations with the written revelation of His perfect will.

For instance, many people read Hebrews 9:27-28 and wrongly interpret it as meaning that God has a time for each of us to die, which is not the case at all. “And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take ways the sins of many people….”

All this passage says is that the Lord has ordained that we die just one time. And once that happens, we will all face judgment. There is no “appointed time”—at least, not by God—for our departure from this earth.

According to King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, there is indeed “a time to die”; however, in the context of what he was saying, he was only referring to death as one of the many seasons we experience in our lives. He was not saying there is a specific, appointed time or moment for our death.

So, God is not the one who limits or determine our lifespan; we are. God clearly desires for each of us to live much longer than perhaps we have been thinking we should.

Are You Ready To Live Longer?

The truth is, we should not even allow those words spoken by God Himself to limit our thinking about our lifespan in this earth—because they were not about us! When He said those things, God was referring to the unbelieving, rebellious and wicked people who were the vast majority of the earth’s population just prior to the Flood. He was not talking about the righteous few, like Noah and his family, who were living well into their 900s at the time.

That should shed a whole new light on our thinking about aging. The Bible tells us that rejuvenation belongs to all of God’s obedient people. It is, in fact, one of the many benefits of our salvation we find throughout Scripture:

  • “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:2-5, NKJV).
  • “Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing (Psalm 92:13-14, NKJV).
  • “Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31, NKJV).

Through Jesus, God has set every believer back into the garden of His goodness. He has made available to us “exceedingly great and precious promises” that are divinely designed to help us escape the corruption that is in the world through sin (2 Peter 1:4, NKJV). And many of those promises offer us…

  • long, full lives (Exodus 23:25-26)
  • prolonged days on the earth (Deuteronomy 4:39-40, 6:2; Proverbs 10:27)
  • long, satisfying lives (Psalm 91:16)
  • length of days (Proverbs 3:16)
  • many years of life (Proverbs 4:10)
  • old age (Isaiah 46:4)
  • a long, good life (Ephesians 6:2-3).

It’s time we all raised the standard and began making choices to help us live to be 120 years old. When we were born again, we were raised to walk in newness of life. We were given God’s resurrection power—the power to help us live. “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you” (Romans 8:11).

Let’s let the resurrection power of Jesus living in us be our standard now. Make God’s standard yours from now on!

A Call to Fasting and Prayer

Download Pastor George’s Fasting Hand Out HERE.

Here at The Revival Capital of the World®, God is stirring our hearts on the importance of approaching Him in faith through fasting. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (NKJV). Beginning Feb. 5, for 21 days, all of KCM, EMIC, KCBC® and VICTORY Channel® will be entering a time of corporate fasting.

Why is fasting important, not only personally, but also corporately? Follow along as we learn the value of fasting and highlight the seven primary prayer targets that we are setting our hearts toward to see breakthrough on both a corporate and a personal level.

What Is Fasting?

Imagine the owner of a large, lively factory strolls onto the busy production floor to deliver a companywide announcement. Instead of competing with the various sounds, he dims the lights, pauses the machines, and asks that all employees cease working and remain quiet while he speaks. With their full attention engaged, don’t you think the employees would be able to clearly hear the voice of their leader?

Well, the human mind and body run like factories—complex, multifaceted, bustling and rowdy factories. From internal and external feelings to sights, sounds, distracting thoughts, smells and everything in between, the body and mind endlessly roar like engines and are bombarded by reminders that they are subject to the influences of the physical world.

To combat this constant bombardment, fasting—a sacrificial act—is the intentional refraining from food or other comforts. At the same time, we submit those desires to God and position ourselves to clearly communicate with Him and experience breakthrough. When we choose to fast, it allows God to come in. It’s a time to silence the clamor within, allowing everything to quiet so we can hear Him speak to us.

Brother Copeland once shared a revelation on fasting he received from the Lord.

“It is important for you to understand that it is not the fasting itself that brings the deliverance. Jesus has already obtained deliverance through the complete work of Redemption. The Holy Spirit, who lives inside of you, knows how to pray in order to bring the deliverance Jesus has already provided. Fasting simply brings the spirit man, which is in union with the Holy Spirit, into ascendance over the flesh. It also limits the physical appetites so that you can more effectively hear from and respond to the Spirit. This enhances intercession. And effective, Holy Spirit-led intercession sets the captives free!

Fasting is not a method of twisting God’s arm to get Him to respond when you pray. Fasting does not change God. It changes you.”

Seven Primary Prayer Targets

As we move into a corporate fast, we want to be very intentional about why we are doing it. So, we are aiming this time of fasting like an arrow at seven primary targets.

1. An Awakening to God In the Body of Christ

It is not just unbelievers who need an awakening. The Body of Christ needs to further awaken to God, individually and as a whole. Our hearts must be increasingly awakened to HisWord and His Spirit. Through this, our desires will be renewed and aligned with God’s plan for us. As we stir our hunger and thirst for more of Him, He can effectively mold us into the individuals He created us to be.

When we awaken to who we are in Christ, the signs that Jesus said would accompany those who believe will work through us.

2. An Awakening to God In Israel

Israel is not just another nation; it is God’s First Covenant nation. It was the first to be called by God as a light to the nations. As such, it must have a further awakening to God, its people fully seeing themselves the way God’s Word does. This kind of awakening will equip them to stand successfully in the trying days ahead.

3. An Awakening to God In America and In the Nations

God has a plan for the nations, but He has called America to shine His light on that plan for all to see. If America is dark, many nations surely will be. But as America awakens to God, she will be brighter and brighter. Then all the nations will be able to see the greatness of our God.

We stand on 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (NKJV). Fasting is a significant way to humble ourselves and make room for God to move. We are in Covenant with God. He is faithful and will do it!

4. The 2024 Elections

The 2024 elections are fast approaching. We know the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. But the Word says to catch him, rebuke him, resist him, bind him and cast him out. Through this fast, we will be strengthened in the weapons of our warfare, standing fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, allowing no devil to steal our freedom.

5. Ministry Breakthroughs

As Partners, congregants, viewers and staff, we all recognize the expanse of God’s call for The Revival Capital of the World. This includes each of our four divisions:

Kenneth Copeland Ministries

Eagle Mountain International Church

VICTORY Channel

Kenneth Copeland Bible College

After Jesus ended His 40-day fast, the Anointing was so strong on Him that all men sought Him (Mark 1:37). We are expecting more anointing to draw people to Jesus and His Word, and that we will see more of all that He has available for us, to accomplish His call to go into all the world and make disciples of the nations.

6. Personal Breakthroughs

Are you in need of a breakthrough—financially, in your health, in your family or in any other area? When we corporately gather to fast, we join as one with united faces and hearts turned toward God. With all that is happening in our personal lives and the world, we must have an environment for extreme clarity to hear the Father’s voice so that breakthrough has a clear path. This clarity comes through submission to personal and corporate fasting.

Self-evaluation in the presence of faith is essential to maturing in our relationship with God. This is a time to hear from the Lord, that we may confidently walk in the fullness of all He has created us to be and to do.

7. Preparation for All That Is Coming

It is time to prepare to receive the abundant blessings God has in store and to strengthen yourself with His mighty Word so the enemy has no capability of inflicting harm on you. Also, it is time to prepare to help others stand strong against what the future holds. As the Body of Christ multiplies and the end draws near, it is paramount that we remain unified in faith, standing strong in holiness, so we can overcome any future demonic attack.

How To Prepare

We are setting aside the month of January to prepare our minds and hearts for the season of fasting. As we step into this time of preparation, Pastor George Pearsons is asking each member of our congregation and staff to pray and seek God for what He is asking each of us to lay aside during this time. Take this time to allow the noise to be silenced, so His voice can be heard more clearly. Allow God to pinpoint the things He’s asking you to surrender.

12 Truths About Your Angels

Angels are mentioned all throughout the Bible. Sometimes referred to as hosts or armies of heaven, they are spirit beings created by God to serve Him—and us. Hebrews 1:14 says, “Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.” Angels are messengers that help us fulfill our assignments. They act on God’s commands and on ours. Psalm 103:20 assures us of this: “Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word” (NKJV). When was the last time you commanded your angels to go…and protect you, defend you, rescue you, bring in your harvest or minister to you in some way? Have you ever fully understood that this is what they were created to do for you?

According to Scripture, angels existed before the Creation of the world as we know it was complete (Genesis 2:1; Exodus 20:11). We know that angels surround the throne of God to this day, worshipping Him and giving Him glory (Isaiah 6:3; Ezekiel 1:5-14; Revelation 4:6-8, 7:11)—and that there is a rank and order of the angels. For example, in Jude 9, Michael is called an archangel, as is Gabriel, who appeared to Mary (Luke 1:26-28).

The enemy of our soul, the one who roams this earthly realm roaring like a lion seeking whom he may devour, is a fallen angel—and a being we have complete authority over due to our Covenant with God (Isaiah 14:12; Luke 10:18). That’s right, no angel, whether good or bad, has authority over us. God made us in His image; He made us higher than the angels (Hebrews 1:4-14; 1 Corinthians 6:3). This is why when we move from this life to our eternal life in heaven, we don’t change into angels. We don’t change into something lower than us. Rather, we enter the presence of God and worship Him, along with the saints who have gone before us (Philippians 1:21-23).

But most important to our everyday lives, we have the power to command our angels, to put them to work on our behalf. All we must do is speak the Word, and they will go to work helping bring it to pass. To be sure that we’re putting our angels to work the way God wants us to, consider the following 12 Truths About Your Angels and how they can work for you. While not a complete list of all the references to angels in the Bible, this list will give you a strong overview of how angels can serve you as a child of God.

1. Angels are assigned to us at birth.

When the disciples tried to keep the little children from coming to Jesus, He said, “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10, NKJV).

Sometimes, we refer to such angels as “our guardian angels.” Have you ever felt protected and delivered from harm in a dangerous situation? Your angel was at work. And what about all the times you weren’t even aware?

2. Angels watch over us.

“For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone” (Psalm 91:11-12).

Our angels are always watching over us, regardless of whether we’re aware of them or not.

3. Angels bring good news.

“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, ‘Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!’” (Luke 1:26-28).

Not only did an angel appear to Mary, announcing that she would give birth to Jesus; once He was born, an angel appeared to the shepherds announcing He had been born. “Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord’” (Luke 2:10-11, NKJV).

4. Angels guard places.

Some angels are described in the Scripture as cherubim or seraphim. Several verses share location-specific details about angels. Cherubim guard the entrance to the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:24), and God is enthroned above them (Ezekiel 10:1-22). Psalm 18:10 tells us that God rides on them, and Exodus 25:18-22 describes two golden figures of cherubim that sit above the Ark of the Covenant.

5. Angels worship God.

Seraphim are mentioned only once and are described has having six wings (Isaiah 6:2-6). They are the angels who continually worship the Lord saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” (verse 3, NKJV).

6. Angels are mighty and strong.

Ezekiel described having a vision of angels that were majestic, powerful and huge. He said that they were so holy that they appeared as fire, having four wings and multiple faces; and when they flew, their wings were so big that they made the noise of great waters (Ezekiel 1). In 2 Kings 19:35, the Word tells us that an angel of the Lord slew 185,000 Assyrians. And in the New Testament, it was Peter who said that angels were superior in might and power (2 Peter 2:11).

7. Angels are sent to us.

When Daniel had a vision in which he saw an angel and heard him speak, he fell to the ground in a deep sleep (Daniel 10:9). When the angel woke him, he said, “Daniel, you are very precious to God, so listen carefully to what I have to say to you. Stand up, for I have been sent to you…. Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer” (Daniel 10:11-12).

Once, when Kenneth Copeland was preaching, God opened the eyes of an audience member spiritually, and the man told Brother Copeland that he saw a huge angel standing behind Brother Copeland the entire time he was preaching. When Brother Copeland paused in his preaching, the angel would lean over and speak things in his ear, and he would get fired up again! The angel was big and looked like Mr. Clean, the man depicted on cleaning products bearing the same name. Who better to help us fulfill our assignments than an angel sent just for us!

8. Angels can appear as strangers in our midst.

The writer of Hebrews told us, “Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!” (Hebrews 13:2).

9. Angels protect us and get us where we’re going.

“See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you” (Exodus 23:20).

10. Angels speak to us and guide us.

God, speaking in Exodus 23 about the sent angel, goes on to say, “Pay close attention to him, and obey his instructions. Do not rebel against him, for he is my representative, and he will not forgive your rebellion. But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you. For my angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, so you may live there. And I will destroy them completely” (Exodus 23:21-23).

11. Angels can be sent in response to our prayers.

When Peter was imprisoned shortly after the execution of James (Acts 12), he was in his cell chained between two guards, as “the church prayed very earnestly for him” (verse 5). The Word tells us that “suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, ‘Quick! Get up!’ And the chains fell off his wrists” (verse 7). The arrival of an angel to rescue Peter was an obvious answer to the church’s prayer. This shows us that God can use angels to answer our prayers today.

12. Angels carry out God’s plans.

“When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. ‘Oh, sir, what will we do now?’ the young man cried to Elisha. ‘Don’t be afraid!’ Elisha told him. ‘For there are more on our side than on theirs!’ Then Elisha prayed, ‘O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!’ The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire” (2 Kings 6:15-17).

The next time you have need of anything—spiritually, mentally, physically, socially, financially, relationally—in any realm of your life, tell your angels to go. Tell them to go to work ministering to you and on your behalf, bringing into your life what you need, in Jesus’ Name.

Word of the Week: Back to the Basics of the Fundamentals of Faith

If you want your faith to work, you must apply the fundamentals of faith. Go through this checklist to see if you’re truly ready to pray the prayer of FAITH: 1. When you say your petition with your mouth, do you believe God will do it? 2. Have you forgiven yourself and others? 3. Are you using the faith of Abraham or the doubt of Thomas? 4. Are you calling things you don’t yet see as if they’ve already been done? 5. Are you using corresponding action?

Receiving the Covenant Promises of God Is Easier Than You Think!

Did you know that there are tens of thousands of promises in the Bible, and 7,487 of them are from God directly to mankind? They are spread throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament, written in different generations, different locations and even different centuries; but they are all inspired by God, and they all belong to us through Jesus. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV). What’s more, every one of God’s promises to us are backed by the blood of Jesus that He shed on the cross, thus ratifying God’s COVENANT with us. This means that when we make Jesus our Lord, we enter into COVENANT with God. As we activate that COVENANT by faith, we are enabled to experience His blessing in every area of our lives. This gives us full access to all the promises of God found in His Word, and it’s easier than you think!

Walk by Faith

What do you need today? Abundance? Health? Peace of mind? Relationships to be restored? God wants to bless you with whatever you need. Ephesians 1:3 tells us, “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.”

To receive what you need today, and all that you’ll need in the future, you’ll want to walk by faith—and faith is a lifestyle, based on blood-backed, precious promises from the Word of God. In his book The Two Covenants, Andrew Murry, a 19th-century theologian, wrote: “Blessed is the man who truly knows God as his Covenant God; who knows what the Covenant promises him; what unwavering confidence of expectation it secures, that all its terms will be fulfilled to him; what a claim and hold it gives him on the Covenant-keeping God Himself. To many a man, who has never thought much of the Covenant, a true and living faith in it would mean the transformation of his whole life.”[1]

To help you learn how to walk by faith in the new year and activate all that God has promised you, we want to share an excerpt from Kenneth Copeland and Greg Stephen’s new book, God, The Covenant and The Contradiction. Let this story from Kenneth Copeland’s early ministry life inspire you. In it, he learns what it means to be in Covenant and to experience THE BLESSING of Covenant. Consider it a lesson in receiving the Covenant promises of God.

Faith Is an Act

When I first started attending Oral Roberts University and serving Brother Roberts as part of his flight crew, I was also his driver, which afforded me the opportunity to see firsthand the anointing on his life and ministry. I saw the power of God at work to heal and deliver. In meeting after meeting, I saw the miraculous take place. And the more I saw, the more I wanted that same anointing that was on Brother Roberts to be on the ministry God was calling me to. Like Brother Roberts, I wanted to see people set free—as God had set His people, Israel, free.

The first time I heard this powerful man of God minister to his partners, I also wanted to become a partner. It was so strong on me! I remember watching as I saw people sow into his ministry and connect their Faith with his. I saw how they were tangibly joining with him in ministry. That was covenant!

When Brother Roberts encouraged people who weren’t yet partners with him to sign up and pledge to give ten dollars a month, I was ready to do it. However, I was so broke, as they say, I couldn’t pay attention. I had no money at all. Still, I was determined to become a partner of Oral Roberts Ministries.

In that first partner meeting, the ushers passed out envelopes to the people along with short, wooden pencils for them to use to fill out their offering envelopes. Looking at the pencil I held in my hand and recognizing it was all I had to give at that moment, I put it in the envelope. I also checked the box on the envelope indicating that I was now a partner with Oral Roberts Ministries.

Isn’t that how God made His Covenant with us? “God so loved the world, that He gave His only…” (John 3:16). So, I gave my “only”!

About that time in the meeting, I heard someone behind me say, “Hey, you!” When I turned around, it was a woman trying to get my attention. She had no idea who I was, but she said, “During this entire meeting The LORD has been worry warting me to give you ten dollars.”

I said, “Give it here, lady. I’ll take it. Thank you!” Then I caught the usher, put my ten-dollar bill in the envelope, and put the pencil in my pocket. I was a partner!

As soon as I returned home, I could hardly wait to tell Gloria we were partners with Oral Roberts Ministries for ten dollars per month. Gloria said, and I quote, “Kenneth, where will we ever get ten dollars a month?”

I realized that she had not heard the partner message. So, I preached it to her the best I could remember. “Gloria,” I said, “we can have Oral Roberts’ anointing for ten dollars a month.” She became as excited as I was, and we are still partners today with Richard Roberts and Oral Roberts University.

Here’s my point: Every covenant must be activated by Faith. And you and I are the ones who must put Faith into action. That’s the reason The LORD instructed Gloria and me to always call our Partners “Covenant Partners.” We are in covenant with our Partners to pray for them every day, ministrywide. Gloria and I pray for our Partners at every meal. They are ever on our minds.

It’s one thing to know we have a Covenant…it’s another thing to live in that Covenant and experience the full extent of its benefits. How do you possibly do that?

To begin with, once you hear The WORD of God, once you hear God’s promises to you…then you apply corresponding action. You act. You do something, and you do whatever you do in Faith. Faith is an act. For me, I activated my covenant relationship with Brother Roberts and his ministry by giving what I was able to give—a pencil—while believing for more. And when the “more” came, I gave it too! On top of that, Gloria joined her Faith with mine when I told her what I had done.

Of course, through the years, Gloria and I have had differences of opinion about things, but we discussed them and based our conversations on what The BOOK says. For instance, in 1968 I was preparing to preach at Grace Temple Church in Fort Worth, Texas. The Spirit of God directed me in the evening service to preach from the thirteenth chapter of Romans. My chosen text was the first verse: “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” I was going to center up on verse 4, which says, “For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil”; and then continue through the rest of the chapter.

However, I landed hard on the eighth verse: “Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.”

In my mind, there went the airplane, as we couldn’t finance any part of it!

Gloria was in another room, so I called for her. I still had my Bible in my hand with my finger on those words, “Owe no man anything, but to love one another.”

I could tell by the look on her face that her dream home had just vanished.

This incident shows the heart of Gloria Jean Copeland. She put her finger on my Bible—at that verse—and boldly stated, “If that’s what The BOOK says, that’s what we’re going to do.”

We entered a binding covenant based on Deuteronomy 28:12: “The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to BLESS all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow(KJV).

That’s THE BLESSING.

Now in the curse of the Law, the Bible says in verses 43 and 44: “The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shall not lend to him: he shall be the head and thou shalt be the tail.”

Once that was established with us, Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV) came alive in our hearts and this ministry: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that THE BLESSING of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
