You can find God’s way—His path and vision for your life—by following 3 Steps To Create a Vision for 2025.
Have you ever tried to get somewhere without GPS? It’s not easy to get from Point A to Point B without directions. It’s easy to get lost. It’s easy to take roads and paths you never intended to take.
Oftentimes, this is how it feels in life. You might feel like you are aimlessly roaming through each day without directions, basing your decisions only on what you see in front of you. As a result, you might end up in a place that creates lots of joy and blessing, or you might end up in a place of extreme pain and heartache. Everyone has made choices they wish they could go back, rewind, and do again in a different way. So, how do you know what path to take in life? How do you know what choices to make in 2025?
God’s way is the best way. He has a specific plan and vision for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, ‘“For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” God’s plan and vision for your life is good and is already blessed!
You can find God’s way—His path and vision for your life—by following 3 Steps To Create a Vision for 2025.
Step #1: Commit One to Three Days To Pray for Your Vision
“In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” –Jeremiah 29:12-13
To create a vision for 2025, begin by committing one to three days to pray about nothing else except God’s wisdom concerning the year. It’s not necessary to take three days off from work…unless you want to. Set aside some extra time to spend with the Lord during those three days. Consider skipping your lunch to spend time praying, or take extra time in the morning or evening to pray.
God promises that when you take the time to seek Him, He will listen. Not only will He listen, but He will also tell you things to come. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”
You might wonder where to begin in your prayers. You can always pray the same prayers Paul prayed for believers to have wisdom: Ephesians 1:17-23, Ephesians 3:14-21, Philippians 1:9-11, and Colossians 1:9-14. For example, you can pray aloud: “I am filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9).”
You don’t want to take a wrong turn in 2025 and end up in a different destination than God had for you! God doesn’t want you that for you either. He is for you, and He has good things prepared for you (Jeremiah 29:11). As you commit one to three days to pray about your vision for 2025, God will open your eyes, revealing His plan for your life and showing you what to focus on for the year.

Step #2: Pray Out Your Vision in Tongues
“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.” –1 Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV)
When you pray out your vision for 2025 in tongues, God’s wisdom will come out of your spirit. Kenneth Copeland describes praying in tongues as “dipping the bucket down into the well of wisdom and knowledge, and bringing that up from the well.” When you pray out your vision in tongues, you are speaking mysteries, divine secrets, secret truths and hidden things that are not obvious to the understanding (1 Corinthians 14:2, AMPC).
Every believer has been given the gift of speaking in tongues. Just as easy as receiving Jesus as your Savior, you can receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit! If you haven’t received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, learn how to receive it HERE
Watch Kenneth Copeland explain why the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is for every believer:
Start the new year by praying out your vision in tongues every day. As you do, you can say, “Lord, I believe for the interpretation of what I just prayed” (1 Corinthians 14:13). The Lord has given you this spiritual tool to work with so you can access the wisdom laid up for you out of the spirit realm. You can trust that His wisdom will show you what paths to take and what paths to avoid in 2025!
Step #3: Pray for Your Vision Until You Know What To Do
“Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving.” –Colossians 4:2 (AMPC)
Don’t give up. Persevere and pray for your vision until you know what to do—until you have a knowing on the inside. God may lead you to focus on certain things for the year, such as your relationship with Him, or your family, school, job and church. He may lead you to lay aside some things for the year. He may impress you to pick up something new, take a turn, or make an adjustment in your life.
You can pray and declare by faith, “I know what to do.” And then there’s a process that takes place of the uncovering of the wisdom of God. Don’t make a move until you have that wisdom. By praying over your year ahead of time and taking the time to hear from the Lord, you are ensuring that your plans line up with His plans.
Be encouraged that answers will come, and sometimes you’ll walk right into your answer. How will you know you have the answer? It will look like the easiest thing you’ve ever done. Continue to pray until you know what to do, and once you have the wisdom you need, you can walk out the vision God has for your life.
