Twice-Sown Seed: Something To Smile About

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Imagine this: A face smooth, yet worn like leather. A smile, gentle…soft…kind. She sat on her porch, and she listened. At 85 years old, she had never heard the Name of Jesus. The bright sun glistening off the water, and a rough-hewn shanty-like porch as the setting, she prayed to this Jesus and asked him to be her Lord. And just like that, all of heaven rejoiced. Because someone came to her land to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Is this possible? Thanks to your seed, it is!

The Land of Smiles

Thailand is known as The Land of Smiles because of the friendly and hospitable nature of her people; its trademark is that of warm smiles and a welcoming attitude toward travelers who come from all over the world. A predominantly Buddhist country in Southeast Asia, the religious breakdown looks something like this—93% of its 65 million inhabitants are Buddhist and 3% practice Islam. Despite nearly 200 years of Protestant missions, only about 1% of the population is Christian.

In large part, this is due to the seemingly inseparable intertwining of the cultural identity with its religious affiliation to Buddhism: “To be Thai is to be Buddhist.” Embracing Christianity, viewed as a Western religion, entails losing one’s Thai identity. With a cultural identity that runs so deep, many have not even heard the Name of Jesus, much like the scenario of the woman described above.

Interestingly, the Thai constitution guarantees freedom of worship and religious gathering in the country, making Thailand easily accessible, yet at the same time very unreached with the good news of Jesus Christ. However, the tide is changing. As a Partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, YOU are helping reach the beautiful people in The Land of Smiles.

Twice-Sown Seed

In June 2024, more than19,000 Thais confessed Jesus as Lord and a little over 300 healings were documented. What did it take to make this happen? Partnership!

From June 5-16, 2024, 11 team members from West Houston Christian Center were able to go into the nation of Thailand, along with Global Ventures, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ with great effectiveness. A generous seed sown by KCM helped make their trip possible.

In a letter written to KCM, Pastors Jack and Michelle Pidgeon reported how the group traveled and ministered in many schools, hospitals and markets. They also conducted many festivals where the good news of Jesus Christ was preached.

As a result of their efforts, the 19,000 salvations and 300 documented healings mentioned above were seen. Praise God!

“We believe you did this together with us, partnering with us,” Pastors Jack and Michelle shared.

They went on to say, “Thank you…we are so grateful to be in partnership with ministries like you, that have a passion for God and a passion for souls!”

Partner, when you give financially to KCM, your dollar doesn’t stop in Fort Worth, Texas, on the property of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. It travels around the world, even to the remotest places, and it reaches souls that may not have ever heard the Name of Jesus. How? Because of twice-sown seed. When you give financially, 10% of your gift is automatically sown into other ministries. Together, your seed is having eternal impact in places such as The Land of Smiles. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to see God’s kingdom manifested on earth. It is truly something to smile about!
