Lettice Johnson cashed out her 401(k) early, which incurred a hefty tax penalty. She sought the Lord on the matter and sowed a seed in faith; then a miracle happened.
Life was good for Lettice Johnson. God had blessed her with a job that she enjoyed, and it paid great! Then the COVID pandemic happened in 2020. “My [employer] started getting serious about the vaccine, and if you didn’t get it, there were certain privileges that were taken from you,” shared Johnson.
Johnson did not feel led to get the vaccine; she knew the company would begin firing employees who took that stance, so she decided to resign. In the process, she felt the Lord was leading her to start a ministry. To do this, she took out her entire 401(k); because of that, she incurred a hefty tax penalty of $4,000.
The deadline for filing taxes was still several months away, so she took her need to the Lord.
“I wrote down a petition and I said, ‘Lord, I need money to pay these taxes at the end of the year. Just like You gave money to Peter to pay his taxes (Matthew 17:24-26), I am believing that You will pay mine.’”
Much like how we receive salvation according to Romans 10:9-10, in which we first believe in our heart, then speak that belief out of our mouth, that is the principle Johnson began walking out regarding her belief that the Lord would provide her need.
She began confessing that by April 15, her taxes were paid in full and that she had all the money she would need. During that time, she was watching VICTORYTHON and decided to sow a seed. She called the KCM prayer line, and the prayer minister agreed with her in prayer that God was going to provide the money she needed by April 15to pay the taxes.

God Is Able
In the months that followed, Johnson stood on 2 Corinthians 9:8, believing that God is faithful to His Word and that He had provided all she needed, just like He said. “I kept trusting God,” stated Johnson.
Johnson submitted her taxes, and as expected, her return showed that she owed $4,000. However, she was convinced that God would provide for her.
As the weeks went by, Johnson hadn’t received anything in the mail from the IRS regarding her balance. She called to inquire why she hadn’t received a notice in the mail, even though she owed the $4,000 tax penalty. She verified they had the correct mailing address on file for her; however, the representative told Johnson that nothing in the system showed that Johnson owed anything. She even transferred Johnson to another department to review her taxes to make sure they were correct.
That department confirmed that Johnson did not owe a dime!
Johnson rejoiced at the miracle of provision that had taken place in her life. “I know that Kenneth Copeland is praying for his Partners, and I know I am sowing in good ground and that I can call in that seed,” said Johnson. “It means a lot.”
