KCM Disaster Relief Team Continues to Work in Kerrville

Typically, July 4 in Texas means hot dogs, family time and fireworks. It also means staycations in New Braunfels and Kerrville, Texas, to float the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. Tragically, this past Independence Day was the day of massive flooding and devastation, which resulted in the death of 135 innocent people.

Search and rescue efforts involved multiple groups from various states and Mexico, along the Guadalupe River, which rose to 25 feet in two hours, and a state record of 37.5 feet overall. Much like many statewide relief organizations, the KCM Disaster Relief Team headed to Kerrville the moment authorities released the flooded areas for visiting.

Led by Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ Evangelism Director Riley Stephenson, the KCM Disaster Relief team drove hours away to central Texas to support local churches, regional efforts, and serve our Partners in the area affected by the damage and perilous conditions.

Experience the Results of KCM Disaster Relief

At the 2025 Southwest Believers’ Convention, the KCM Disaster Relief team put together a moving video of footage from Kerrville. They spoke with locals, KCM Partners and business owners about our work in the wake of the Texas flooding.

We believe in miracles in Kerrville. We stand in faith with the families still reeling from the floods on July 4. However, as the Bible declares in James 2:14-26, “faith without works is dead.”

Our faith in Christ needs to be seen and heard to be experienced. That’s why when God blesses, we should bless others. We aren’t serving anyone around us or fulfilling the Great Commission by keeping that a secret.

This is faith in action.

Other churches and ministries were there. Other organizations were working along the Guadalupe River. We were proud to represent the body of Christ and the trust our Partners place in this ministry, which aims to reach people in need, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

In times of flooding in Kerrville, or any disaster, it’s difficult to believe that God is with you for strength and help. That’s why the work of the Church moving together and showing up for support is vital—to the saved, the hurting, the lost.

It’s because of you that we were able to be there for them, and we stay committed to checking on you, too. For that, we are eternally grateful.
