God Wants You to Believe in Miracles

Have you ever found yourself wanting to believe in miracles? That pleases God. He wants you to believe in the promises He made to us. But have you found yourself hoping, praying, and wondering when—or even if—your breakthrough will come?

You’re not alone. Throughout history, people have waited on God for miraculous healing, provision, and restoration. What, then, do we say when the miracle has yet to come to pass? Sometimes, the very thing that keeps a miracle from happening isn’t God’s delay—it’s our understanding of how God’s power works.

The Man Who Waited 38 Years

Picture the man at the Pool of Bethesda. He had been there for 38 years, watching others receive healing when an angel stirred the water.

Jesus asked, “Do you want to be healed?” The man didn’t answer the question. He explained why it hadn’t happened yet. He believed in miracles—but his faith was tied to the pool, not to the God of miracles standing right before him.

Then Jesus said something that changed everything: “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk” (John 5:8).Jesus commanded the man to step out in faith based upon who Jesus was, not the potential of the pool. The focus had changed. The breakthrough had arrived.

At that moment, divine power took action. The man obeyed—and what he had waited nearly four decades for happened instantly. No striving. No delay. Just the power of God responding to faith centered upon the God of the miraculous.

This man chose to believe in miracles because of who Jesus is, and only then did he receive.

The Same Power To Believe in Miracles Lives in You

You might wonder, What does that have to do with me?

After all, Jesus isn’t walking the streets in human form anymore. But when you received Him as Lord, His Spirit came to live inside you. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is now living in you (Romans 8:11).

That means miracle-working belief and divine power aren’t far away—it’s right within you.

When Jesus walked the earth, He could only be in one place at a time. But the Holy Spirit now abides in every believer, everywhere. He’s personal, constant, and ready to act on your behalf. The miracle-working power of God didn’t end just because Jesus rose to be at the right hand of His Father. It multiplied, which means a miraculous healing is closer than you think.

Why People Stop Believing

Still, many people hesitate to believe in miracles for their own lives.

Some think He loves others more when, in fact, that’s impossible. God loves you, and the proof is that He sent His Son to be the sacrifice to take away your sin and bring you into His family. “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Others feel unworthy or disqualified to be touched by God’s power because of their past. Imagine how differently things would be if the apostle Paul let his past as Saul disqualify him from God’s love.

Don’t concentrate on your failures; instead, focus on the immense love God has for you and the mercy that has elevated you to the place where you can receive a breakthrough from God.

“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)” (Ephesians 2:4-5).

Some believe in miracles but grow weary when nothing changes. God’s Word tells you to remain ready and to keep doing what’s right. That means believing His promises even when the results seem delayed. “And let us not grow weary while doing good” (Galatians 6:9, NKJV).

But here’s the truth: God’s will has never changed. He is still good. He is still faithful. And He still delights in showing Himself strong for those who trust Him.

Love Is Always the Source

Every miracle flows from one source—the love of God.

It’s not about your worthiness or performance. Believing in miracles is about trusting His nature. God doesn’t just have love—He is Love. Everything He does springs from that unstoppable force.

Love created the universe. And that same love sent Jesus to the cross for our sins. God’s love still heals, restores, and provides breakthrough today.

When you believe that truth, something shifts inside you. Fear begins to fade. Doubt loses its hold. Love takes the lead and consistently produces results.

God’s love moves. It acts. It releases divine power. And it makes the impossible possible.

Your Miracle Is Not Out of Reach

To believe in miracles means you know rare events are not reserved for a select few. They are the natural expression of a supernatural God who loves without limit.

The same Jesus who healed the man at Bethesda hasn’t changed. His compassion hasn’t faded. His power hasn’t weakened. God’s desire to bring wholeness to your life is just as strong today as it was then.

There are four steps to receive your miracle.

Step 1: Believe in your heart that God loves you and wants the best for you.

Step 2: Make the quality decision, one that you will not let be changed, that you have your miracle.

Step 3: Speak this belief out loud. Force away from you any thoughts or words to the contrary.

Step 4: Expect the miracle!

The woman with the issue of blood used these steps. First, she heard about Jesus and His divine power. Next, she decided to receive her miracle. Then, she spoke about what she expected to happen. Finally, she put her faith into action and her words. The result was her miraculous healing and wholeness (Mark 5:25-29).

So, when you face a situation that looks impossible, remember that God’s power is still active. It’s not somewhere distant; it’s within you.

His Spirit still moves, Love still heals, and the Word still carries authority to create a breakthrough when you need it.

The moment you believe that truth, heaven and earth align, and you position yourself to believe in miracles and receive.
