On January 7, devastating wildfires began sweeping through Southern California. High winds spread fires throughout the region, and the extremely dry landscape didn’t help matters. Since the three major fires in the Palisades, Eaton and San Fernando areas began, more than 60 square miles have been burned and more than 180,000 people have been put under either mandatory evacuation orders or evacuation warnings. Thousands have lost their homes, businesses, cars and other personal belongings. Some, unfortunately, have even lost their lives.
In response to the devastation, Kenneth Copeland Ministries has partnered with the disaster relief organization Operation Blessing to help make a direct impact on the ground in Southern California. Operation Blessing has worked with local officials to distribute hot meals to firefighters as they work long, demanding hours to help put out the fires. Also, Operation Blessing has distributed N95 masks, hygiene kits, diapers, baby formula, blankets and other essential items families need to survive.
Rebuilding homes for many of the families and restoring to them the life they once had could take years, but Operation Blessing is on the ground to help now. They continue to hand out other supplies like bottled water and sleeping bags to firefighters who have traveled from other parts of California and U.S. states to assist the Los Angeles Fire Department. And spiritually, they’ve been able to partner with local churches to pray for people and provide them with hope.

KCM has also partnered with other disaster relief organizations such as Mercy Chefs and Samaritan’s Purse. Each of these organizations has played a unique role in supporting individuals who have been affected by the wide-reaching fires.
There are over 3000 KCM Partners within a 7-mile radius around the land the wildfires have consumed. So, we are continuing to reach out to our Partners to learn how they are doing and how we can best assist those in need. If you are a Partner in this area who has been affected by the wildfires, please give us a call at 877-281-6297 or email us at outreach@emic.org so we can identify how best to help you.
Join us in prayer for Southern California during this tragic time and believe with us that every fire would be quenched, everything damaged will be restored rapidly, and that every life in danger would be spared. We also want to say thank you to all our Partners for your financial support which makes it possible for us to help when disaster strikes.
Remember: God loves you, we love you, and Jesus is LORD!
