The Southwest Believers’ Convention is a gathering of believers who spend time worshipping God, hearing the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, and fellowshipping together. This year marks 44 consecutive years of believers gathering in Fort Worth to celebrate their freedom and faith in Jesus.
“Not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching,” reads Hebrews 10:25 AMP.
As the days draw near to the return of Jesus, we are reminded to gather together as believers and encourage other believers to do the same. You can do this today! Join us in person or online at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
But, before you register for your seats, here are four reasons to attend the Southwest Believers’ Convention!
Immerse Yourself in the Word
In your daily life, you focus on responsibilities at home, at work, and within your family. There are natural things that require attention every single day. It can be challenging to set aside the time you need to immerse yourself in the Word.
Why is immersing yourself in the Word so important? When you do so, you are taking time to sow to the spirit rather than the flesh. “Those who live only to satisfy their sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit” (Galatians 6:8).
When you choose to lay aside some worldly demands and focus on God, you are sowing to the spirit, which always results in more life for you.

Fellowship With Other Believers
God thought of you when He sent Jesus for our sins. He wanted a family. He wanted a relationship with you. Jesus prayed that we would be one, just as He is one with the Father (John 17:21). Relationship and fellowship are essential to God.
1 John 1:7 says, “But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.”
How do you know you are walking in the light? When you have fellowship with other believers.
Hear From the Lord
The Lord is your Shepherd to feed, guide and shield you (Psalm 23:1, AMPC). He doesn’t want you to lack in any area of your life. To follow His leading, you have to hear from Him. John 10:27 says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
The world around you can be boisterous, making it difficult to hear from the Lord amid all the distractions and images vying for your attention. When you take time to attend the Southwest Believers’ Convention, you are choosing to hear from the Lord. And when you hear from Him, you know exactly what to do.

Be an Example to Others
1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” The way you live your life is a testimony to others. They see how you spend your time and how you treat others.
Choosing to attend the Southwest Believers’ Convention shows that you make time for God and His ways and His plans for your life. This sets an example to them, showing them that they can live this way too.
Whether you are joining us in Fort Worth soon or planning to attend another Believers’ Convention, we want you to know that every moment you spend investing in God, His Word, and others will pay rich dividends. Invest today!
