In this Ministry Minute, Pastor George Pearsons teaches about the results of Jesus’ sacrifice as the Passover Lamb.
Did you know that Jesus suffered the curse for you? That’s right, Jesus is our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7). He became the ultimate sacrifice for every person throughout eternity when He died on the cross and resurrected three days later.
First Peter 1:18-20 describes it this way: “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.”
Jesus suffered the curse of the law for you and for me, so that we could live in THE BLESSING! So often, believers accept that Jesus paid for their salvation, but they don’t understand that when Jesus became the Passover Lamb, the effects reached to the physical. Yes, it’s true that Jesus paid the price so that you could enjoy salvation and a direct connection with God. Those are monumental, miraculous effects, but Jesus paid the price for THE BLESSING, too (Deuteronomy 28). He made it possible for you to enjoy an overcoming life right now on earth. This means that sickness, disease, poverty and lack no longer need to be part of your life.
You can praise God for sending Jesus as your Passover Lamb. Jesus paid the price for sin, so you wouldn’t have to. He reconciled you to the Father and destroyed The Curse so that you could experience THE BLESSING. Praise God, through Him, you have new life!
