This KCM Partner had a career in the Philippines, when God gave her an impossible dream for the other side of the world. She implemented biblical principles she learned from Kenneth Copeland about the power of her words, and saw that dream come true!
Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Elizabeth Sotomil is a dentist by profession. After being born again in 1985, a friend loaned her a tape by Kenneth Copeland about the Integrity of God’s Word. That tape introduced Dr. Sotomil to KCM, and she felt led to become a Partner.
Around that same time, the Lord gave her a dream: She saw herself treating Caucasian patients. This was baffling to her, because she was still in the Philippines practicing dentistry, and all her patients were local Filipinos. She asked the Lord: “What does this dream mean?”

An Impossible Dream?
Many years passed, but in 2000 Dr. Sotomil had the opportunity to tour the United States with her family. Her cousin was a dentist in California. He suggested that she take the board exams, enabling her to become a practicing dentist in the U.S. Dr. Sotomil thought, Why not? After all, she had had that dream about treating Caucasian patients all those years before…maybe it wasn’t as impossible as she thought!
Dr. Sotomil returned to the United States three different times to take the various levels of the examination process: in 2001, 2002 and 2006. She passed all three on her first attempts!
Dr. Sotomil credits her success to the principles she learned from Kenneth Copeland, about speaking the Word and the spirit of faith. When thoughts of failure would come to her mind, she would say, “I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). I will pass this exam with flying colors,” and that is exactly what she did!
Everything she needed during the examination process was all provided for her—even the $5,000 necessary to take the exams. Because the Lord provided the money, she didn’t need to borrow a single dime. “Through the spirit of faith and the spirit of increase that is upon KCM, that is pouring over me too,” stated Dr. Sotomil.
It Could Happen For You
It’s been nearly 30 years since the Lord gave Dr. Sotomil the dream of treating Caucasian patients. Now she is living that dream, because she is practicing dentistry in California.
Said Dr. Sotomil, “Imagine, I started owning my practice when I was 63 years old. But in the Lord, nobody is too young and nobody is too old. If God has put that dream in you, that desire will be so strong in you until you bring it into fruition.” Owning her practice gives her the liberty to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with her patients, for which she is very grateful. She can share the same principles of faith she learned from Kenneth Copeland with her patients!
The Spirit of Increase
Although Dr. Sotomil went into debt when she purchased her practice, she implemented the same principles of faith that helped her pass her board exams. “Now I am debt free,” she stated with a big smile on her face, “so, thank God!”
She went on to say, “The spirit of increase that is upon KCM…being out of debt, is upon the Partners, too.”
