Have you ever wondered, is poverty God’s will? In this Ministry Minute video teaching, Kenneth Copeland explains how poverty is not God’s will for your life. On the contrary, God’s will is for you to prosper and have life more abundantly. But first, you have to believe and receive this truth to operate in it, expect it and walk in it.

Is poverty God’s will for anyone? We know from His Word that He hates poverty, and He calls it a curse (Deuteronomy 28:15-31). Satan wants you to live your whole life in poverty. But poverty is a curse, and Jesus set us free from the curse! There’s no way it would ever be called a blessing. Jesus came to minister to the poor and to bear the curse on our behalf.

Some people will tell you that financial problems are actually a blessing in disguise. This is a lie used by the devil to keep Christians down. As a result, many Christians today are suffering one financial defeat after another. So, is poverty God’s will when it is under the curse? No! The curse is meant to destroy, so don’t buy into the lies. Get your thinking in line with the Word of God. If you’re a born-again child of God, you no longer have to live under the curse of poverty or any other curse for that matter. You’ve been redeemed!
