Want to know why laughter is good medicine? Watch this Ministry Minute video with Keith Moore.

You’ve heard that laughter is good medicine, providing a healthy boost to your heart, mind, and immune system. It’s a truth the Bible proclaims in Proverbs 17:22 when it says: “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.”

In this Ministry Minute video by Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM), respected minister Keith Moore explains why laughter is, indeed, good medicine, especially for the Christian believer. “You can’t feel anxious, angry or sad when you’re laughing,” he says. “You can’t do both at the same time.” Take a look at what Brother Moore has to say:

So, the next time you experience anxiety, anger or sadness, give yourself a dose of healthy, natural, life-giving medicine—laugh. It’ll help improve your mood, strengthen your body, and balance your emotions. And what’s better? It’s free. And if you’re looking for something to celebrate, begin to think about—or meditate on—the goodness of God, His plan of redemption for you, and the reality of THE BLESSING in your life. Those promises are sure to get you smiling and might just cause a ripple of laughter and joy to bubble up from the inside.

It’s that joy, given directly from the Lord, that will give you the strength you need to overcome any adversity (Nehemiah 8:10) because, as Keith Moore says, “The joy of the Lord is inside [every Christian believer].”
