‘Hand of God’ Contains Boiler Explosion in KCM Partner Service Center New Year’s Eve

As 2018 gets underway, we are thanking God for protecting our staff and millions of dollars in operational systems and inventory when a boiler exploded in the KCM Partner Service Center on New Year’s Eve.

About 9:15 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, a fire broke out on the property of Kenneth Copeland Ministries in the boiler room of our Partner Service Center. A 2-inch natural gas line used to heat our Partner Service Center broke, causing a gas leak. When our boilers kicked on, there was an immediate and catastrophic boiler explosion.

Watch this special report from Pastors George and Terri Pearsons to find out in detail what happened and to see how the hand of God contained this boiler explosion.

Miraculously, the explosion was contained just to the boiler room and there was no transfer of heat to surrounding rooms, which include our product warehouse (with millions of dollars in inventory) and the main room that houses our operational systems (power, phones, fuse boxes, etc.). We are thankful that the sprinkler and electrical systems worked correctly, which helped contain the fire. Additionally, this could have been a catastrophic explosion if it had been any warmer or if the gas had built up any more in the room.

“Having the angels of God at work on our behalf and pleading the blood of Jesus over of this place, we saw a complete disaster totally averted,” says Pastor George Pearsons.

Getting Back to Normal After Boiler Explosion

We are working on getting back to normal. Currently, we cannot inhabit this building because the boilers supplied heat to the entire building, which is where we send out Bibles, books, and audio and video teachings to all over the world. This is the building where we receive prayer calls, and open and answer mail. This is the building from which we service our Partners, and it is a major vehicle for us to distribute the Word of God from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around.

“The way it all played out…it just was the hand of God that contained this thing. But the fact that so much was at stake, really helps us to see the importance of what God did,” says Pastor Terri Pearsons.

We are working quickly to make temporary repairs to heat the building, so we can be back to normal operations in about a week. More permanent repairs will follow. We are checking all the systems that come from this building to make sure nothing has been compromised, and our plan is to put the building back together in a way that this will not happen again.
